Bego, 18 Aug 2021I charged the battery 2 times using Type C cable and Laptop... moreThe battery doesn't last 56 hours. The battery is rated for 56 watt hours, which is a totally different measurement. If you're curious, the battery capacity, in smartphone terms, is a tad over 7000 mAh.

As for charging, It should take just over an hour. So there's evidently something wrong with your charger, or you're using the wrong one.

Contact Huawei for spare parts or repairs if you wish, but beware that Huawei isn't any more lenient with their warranty than Samsung or Apple in this regard.

After the anti glare screen of my Apple Mac Book Pro fel off, I bought the Huawei Matebook X Pro laptop, and I didn't regret it!
It's so much better build laptop, everything feels quality, and the best part is, you can free yourself from Microsoft by installing "Deepin" Linux on it!
It comes in English language, it's has it's own "App store" were you very easily , with one click can install the software you need, I am so happy with it, that I installed "Deepin" Linux even on all my home PC's even on my old Mac Book Pro! and it works

I am very happy with Huawei Products (I got a P30 Pro phone, and GT2 Pro watch) and
it's so much better than Apple, en cheaper too, highly recommended!

Not going to lie, I actually find the extra resistance of the keys to be a bonus. I'm a very heavy typist and it makes it much easier to type when the keys are a bit harder to press. It's probably the most comfortably non-mechanical keyboard I've ever used!

Got for one week emerald green.. screen is best i Got.. and o was choosing laptop based on personal review of the screen.. i.e i checked HP spectre OLED , LCD IPS 1000nits with privacy filter.. and OLED razor... and was turned down by OLED on HP as i saw small dots over screen .. on closup.. annoying at least for me.. Asus got same dots and only OLED Razor didnt have them... IPS 1000nit from HP.. had so terible viewing angles ifen with sureview OFF that was embarrassing actually to ask anybody to join netflix..

anyhow x pro 2020 actually showed in some tests 550 nits.. and screen is just perfect..

Speed wise... i7 is underpowered.. comparing to other manufacturers.. but does expected job.. but if speed is top priority go to other implementations

The Matebook is a great machine. The best part is that 3:2 screen. Pity even so called professional laptops like the ThinkPad and Dell Precision range make screens for watching movies. 16:9 is a pain to work on. That said, how does the US ban not affect Huawei laptops with Windows and Intel?

It's a great review. But couldn't quite understand the 180-360 degree screen tilt. 360 degrees would make it a foldable/convertible. And while there are laptops that can tilt 180 degrees, they aren't exactly a useful workable feature. Unless you like to lie on bed, hold you laptop with straight arms right above your face and watch a movie. And even that's not a sustainable position to keep. Don't know if I missed something here.

Would also suggest GSMa do battery endurance tests for laptops. I noted your appreciation for the thin bezels. However, please do not say it's going the way of phones. That would mean notches, punch-holes and other such intrusions into your work area. I sincerely hope laptops do not go the way of phones. BTW, do check out Thinkpads from the late 90s through all of the 2000s, they used to have beautiful, thin bezels. It was only later laptops that got ugliness in. But with this Matebook, Dell XPS, and Thinkpad X1, hopefully thinner bezels are here to stay.

I love the 3000x2000 resolution, that must be good for software development.
If this baby had a Ryzen 4000 APU it could have double the battery life, 2/3rds the price, and much quieter fans due to lower power usage and not needing a crappy NVIDIA mx250 GPU. Maybe next year they can make something excellent.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2020Why did they use the severely outdated MX250 when MX350 is ... moreThe difference between the MX250 and MX350 is not too big, unless they decide to skip to a GTX1050 Ti Max-Q GPU at least, which should offer at most 150% performance compared to the MX350. You can't even do serious competitive gaming nor intensive multimedia/graphics stuff with an entry-level MX series GPU.

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2020Meanwhile, for comparison, Adata's new laptop that costs on... moreYou do know that XPG Xenia you're talking is competing with the Razer Blade and "Best Settings on Warzone" PC builds and NOT this piddly little Ultrabook, right? That thing is massive compared to this Huawei one, and think of how bad (or frankly nonexistent) Adata's aftersales support is in many countries!

Meanwhile, for comparison, Adata's new laptop that costs only $100 more than this Huawei with i5 and 512GB storage (so, $1699), offers i7-9750H CPU, 1TB NVMe storage, 32GB RAM, GTX 1660Ti, 144Hz screen, mechanical keyboard, WiFi 6, and enough number of ports.

There is nothing unusual or amazing stuff that needs to cost so high by 50%. Almost everyone is making these laptops with standard components and standard form factors.Way too expensive!
