Wow, really - a 60 Hz panel?! That's just too slow. A snail of a panel.

I'll be checking the review of this model. I miss my old Galaxy note 4, big flat display and stylus. S10e is a bit small for my use and others like Lg v60 are just a tablet lol. Hopefully note 20 doesn't go beyond 160cm.

Finally. I have waited so long for a flagship flat screen Note. It's a bummer it won't come with 120Hz but I absolutely love the shape and dimensions. I hope the final unit retains the renders' vision/aesthetics. 😍

Unpopular opinion: The slower input (on a touchscreen) makes 120/144Hz uneccessary for gaming (only useful for PC gaming imo) and you can get used to 60Hz again as well, you're just picky at this point. 90Hz is only really a difference when scrolling, I'd rather have actual features and a good camera than it.
High refresh rates are overrated on phones. This comes from someone who still dislikes this decision. Also not a Samsung fanboy, I just think it's not a must have on phones.

lol honestly people have you tried 120 hz? Once you go high-refresh rate you cant go back to 60hz. ALSO for phones that are priced almost 1000 USD you definitely want to have those gimmicks, otherwise you might as well go buy a mid ranger phone that costs half the price

Arco, 18 Jun 2020Is there any way to contact Samsung and tell them how this ... moreWallets would have been enough but you get outnumbered by people who always buy the next shiny.
Even reviewers cannot go beyond Apple and Samsung in their shilling.

Samsung has utterly failed in implementing hi-res and hi-refresh displays.

Y'know what? Since they're cutting corners all around. They might as well dumb it down a bit more & release it at $400 price tag to compete with the iPhone SE. I can't see this outdated thing selling much at $900 or above price tag. Especially when you can buy excellent phones like the OnePlus 8 Pro (8T Pro at that time) or Motorola EDGE+ for that price.

this is TRULY sad..I remember when note phones stuck out of the bunch and were their own specific lineup due to the features only the notes carried. now..they just blend in with the galaxy phones...with just a bigger screen and pen. it's sad how samsung is actually going backwards with the note phones...but seem to be going forwards with the galaxy lineup. I was waiting on purchasing a note 20 since I have a note 8..but it looks like it will not be worth the 1000 price tag..might as well wait till the note 10 plus drops price..or maybe ill just get a note 9.

Please NO MORE curved screens on the Notes! It is a PAIN to use the stylus on a curved screen!!

Everyone is crying that the prices are too high and they are all in favor for those so called "budget friendly" wannabe replica brands..
BUT when Samsung takes the same approach, making a more accessible version of the Note, nobody likes it.
You can go ahead and buy those "budget friendly" brands. I definitely know I won't. I'd rather pay a few hundred bucks more and get the original that those replica brands are so desperately trying to copy, failing every time.
It simply baffles me there are people out there who live with the impression that a cheaper product from a no-name brand could ever equal or even surpass the ORIGINAL!
Can't wait to pre-order my future Note+!

Are there any actual tech enthusiasts in favour of curved screens, least of all on device lines where the USP is a stylus? How about lay people?? There's a reason Samsung has moved away from them, they make usability worse. Please try and see past (prior) marketing...
This Ice Universe (not to mention GSM arena) loses a degree of credibility in my eyes and honestly come across as if they have an agenda against Samsung and/or the Note 20.

But it's important to have a brand image and consistency at least in your mainstream devices (S series, Note series). They juggle things around too much - add Bixby button, at first can't customize, then you can- then delete the whole thing. Switch power button from left to right side. Same for volume buttons. At first Note 9 is flagship, then Note 10 is not, introduce Note10+. It's all very confusing and doesn't help their cause.

If you say their experiments are useless - we got curved displays and foldable phones from them.
