Because overclocked CPU will heat a lot and drain batter a lot.
Active cooling fan on Nubia red magic will do the next trick.
Final trick is better screen with better refresh rate and half the price.
So the ROG phone is interesting for sure but not better.

Phone is really interesting but is not better than Nubia Red magic 5G with 16GB ram and active cooling fan.

As a current owner of the Asus ROG phone 2, I've been made a fanboy of the series. I love my ROG phone 2 so much and even my Samsung flagship wielding coworkers have buyer's remorse when they see my phone (especially when they are looking for an electrical outlet to charge up with while I'm still at 50% battery!) Every con I've heard someone say about this phone is in reality, a non-issue. Weight? No ROG phone 2 owner has ever complained about it. Camera? If your laser sharp eagle eyes can detect a difference between its camera and the best phone camera on the market, you shouldn't be using a phone for your photography anyway but a $8,000 DSLR Nikkon. You're not a professional photographer and you will never see a difference. A non-issue. Not water proof? If you have a habit of dropping your phone into the toilet, you don't deserve such a nice phone in the first place. That it, that's the only negatives I can think of and there's more than a dozen ways the ROG phone 2,3 trumps the competition. Best phone on the planet!

I'm on the fence between this one and Lenovo Legion. ROG III should get a secondary screen accessory but Legion is expected to get a better display from the start... Since Red Magic 5G started getting regular software updates (and hopefully unlocks its launcher in the future), I don't have the feeling Asus will offer much more than that and the price will be definitely higher.

Symmetrical bezels on top and bottom along with symmetrical dual loud speakers should be the design of all phones. Im looking forward to this rog phone 3 even if they will ditch the 3.5mm port and expandable memory card, specially since it has a high screen refresh rate and hopefully they will opt ufs 3.1.

Besides few grams is worth it for the extra battery and wide range of mics and antennas on board. If you think 240g evenly distributed across a wide surface area is heavy, maybe you need to visit the gym and lift brah!
