Huawei's HMS Core reaches version 5.0, brings positioning and push notification improvements

Huawei is working hard on replacing the functionality that was in the Google services (that it no longer has access to).

I think they mean HMS is *installed* on 600 million devices, but not necessarily in use on them. Remember when Google bragged about their Google+ user numbers? It was a result of them forcing it on their YouTube users, versus an actual userbase. We all know what happened to G+.
