What I'm slightly concerned about is the optimization aspect.
Generally, Huawei devices are greatly optimization through their software and in-house Kirin chipsets.
I'm slightly concerned whether the same level of optimization will transfer over into using externally manufactured chipsets..
Guess we will have to wait and see..

Looks like Huawei bought a dozen million MTK D800 and D820 chips and have launched 3-4 phones with them in the space of 3 weeks!
Not that MTK D-series chips are bad, far from it, but you won't see the software updates and benefits you usually get with EMUI on these as you would if it has a Kirin chip inside.
Could Huawei buy MediaTek or use them as a orderer and have them design and request an alternative high-end chip for the Mate 40, given how Kirin 1000 is going to be in short or no supply?
Stranger things have happened.
