Got It, Love It, great camera, great screen size, great build quality.

          Most importantly, great price point!

At least I know that when Sony does release ICS for this, it will be very stable unlike some other manufacturers!

Baby Wade, 14 Jun 2012No they don't have the same specs, the US versions of the G... moreThe us version of the sgsIII doesn't have the 4core processor neither the one x only the international versions do so this ion is a competitor in my opinion.

Adrian, 14 Jun 2012GB might be the downfall of this awesome phone. Sony had wa... moreYes agree with you. Sony releases their flagship models but still running the old OS. Ion has been announced 5 or 6 months ago but still on Gingerbread. I am using Sony Xperia S and it was released end of Feb/early Mar but it's almost 5 months now and no ICS until now. Sony says ICS will start rolling for SXS end of this month (June), so meaning availability worldwide is most likely until end of July or so. This is the reason why Sony can't really compete with Samsung and HTC.

umm, from the pics why the looks of ion hspa is better than at&t lte ?

also does this really have usb OTG ?
I hope its usb OTG is as good as SGS 2,3, or note.

It's at a different price point. $199 for SGS3 vs $99 for this (on contract). As for the Lumia 900, I don't see why you think this can't compete. This has higher pixel density, card slot, and higher res cameras. And maybe some people would just prefer to use Android.

Everybodys hatin on Sony for the lack of ICS and cause this phone took so damn long to release, but come on this phone is going to be SICK, I don't think it's gonna suck at all. Its defiantly the most creative phone out there, plus its sexier than Scarlett Johansson

The international versions of the competitors are much better as they are future proof.

The american variants of sg3 and htc one ... moreNo they don't have the same specs, the US versions of the GS3 & HTC One X have ICS & use the new S4 dual-core processor which is faster & more battery efficient, the GS3 has a bigger battery & 2GB RAM.

GB might be the downfall of this awesome phone. Sony had way too much time to upgrade this phone to ICS before it was released. 6 month's since it was first revealed. I'll probably still but it, only because I have At&t though Lol

I think this will compete just fine, especially if SONY can get ICS pushed (through At&T) sooner than later, and a good pricing , maybe undercut s3 price by $25-175 or maybe not. After all they are similarly speced, and the xperia Ion has the 12.1MP camera (anyone remember the Satio) which has probably been tweaked since the original announcements.

GSMARENA: how can the Ion have a 10hr (2G) talk time , and only 4HR (LTE or 3G) talk time? that doesn't make sense, type anyone?
