This is why I'll keep owning both Android and iPhone. I can use apps or features that one platform lacks. Hopefully Android prices do not soar way too high if the resale value dips quickly.

Rising prices of Android phones and Increased customization on iOS is making it difficult to remain in Android ecosystem in future

Nowadays Android and iOS are adopting each others features. i.e. They are listening to their customers, and this is a good move in my perspective because their might be a small gap and less disputes between both os users. And Both os users can get each others features and experience it in their own way. For Ex: Apple Implemented Placing widgets on homescreen, but android had it for a long time now. And Android implemented swipe gestures in android 10 from apple. which apple introduced in 2017.

And for a good reason too. But for some reason apple couldn't implement widgets features same as android. Because you can place a widget on homescreen but you can place wherever you want, it has its own ios layout design. And android couldn't implement swipe back gesture in every app, as apple does it better.

I wish android could bring Perfect Dark Mode as Apple even though Android have had it in first place, but it couldn't implement it as good as apple did it.

I wish apple could bring more customisable to its operating system.

The good part of IOS is the longevity of their models and most important the performance of their iphones even after 4-5 years.

My old Samsung S9+ was beginning to lag after just 6 months (not big, but small hick-ups here and there). Also, my friend's 3 years old S8+ is incredibly laggy and has problems in opening and using apps (feels like a cheap Xiaomi from 2020).
Meantime, my recently bought second hand iphone SE (2016 model) with the latest IOS 13.5.1 is working incredibly well. I think is amazing what Apple can do through correct software implementation with these older models. If you don't take in consideration the small screen, the performance is almost the same as an iphone 11.
And I think this is the real advantage of iphones.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 202010 year old any Android had all these features 😂LMFAO...you need to work on your comprehension skills.

The point made was, a 5 year old iPhone can still get all these features due to software support.

A typical Android from 5 years ago would've received one, maybe two major OS updates.

Regardless of whether all these features were available to that 5 year old Android, i highly doubt it can still be as useful today.

Androids do not age well. They become junk much quicker than their iOS counterparts. FACT.

              You are welcome!

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2020 It's so cute that you have no argument or a coherent logi... moreLMFAO..and you're a typical Fandroid obsessed with Apple.

Fandroids saying they don't care about Apple is like a kid saying they don't like cake, while eating the last piece.

I wonder if the previous iOS can't picture-in-picture? My Android has been able to do that for a long time. And widget, pfffttttt.

The article states " If you're already an iOS user or someone on Android who is thinking of jumping fence, you're going to want to read this". But instead, Android heads came storming to hate on ios and praise their precious Android. Ugh

I disagree, it’s actually quite easy to pay lot for iPhone. I mean seriously, 5 years old 6s is getting all these features, that’s just crazy! When you invest to iPhone you get very long lasting device, if you want someday to change it to something else the resell price is very high.

Cmon folks, all this copy cat talk is annoying.
I'm a Android user because i have much more freedom to do what i like to do with my phone.
Launchers like Nova Launcher etc. is a awesome tool for make changes to my phone.
The price for a Apple flagship is all to high to, no phone is worth that many money.

But copy cat talk cmon, that's the way innovation works. Apple seems to "copy" the widget idea etc. but they make the widgets a lot better, where Android probably have forgotten to innovate the widgets for years now. In my eyes Apple now force Android to make their widget more up to date and more polished.

I've had 1 iPhone in my life and 1 iPad, i got them in a new job years ago, after some weeks i asked my boss to get some Android instead.
I don't like what Apple stands for and same with Samsung btw but for other reasons.
Nowadays i have 1 more reason not to have a Apple product, i will not support a firm from the most hypocrite country on the world, where a cuckoos nest leader fight another brand because they growing big and doing the things a lot, lot better.

About copying things or innovate things, we all have to remember, all things in live is a copy of the first prototype. Like cars etc, all cars are copy of the first car way back, it's just innovated in many years, which we all should be happy of.

                                Peace folks (Y)

There are some new cool features, but Apple's implementation of many are just flawed.
After 12 years Samsung debuted it on Android, Apple iPhones still can't connect to a new wifi network with just a swipe and a click. And you can't do it without exiting your app. That's just beyond silly.
There are so many usability issues with an iPhone that only an excuse-making fanboy can boast about it being good.

There are many things that iOS got correct and Android is still struggling after 15 years, but new features aren't them.
