Back then, when American and European brands did advertisings, they are really iconic and very well done, i remember back then, Nokia has this ads took half page of newspaper saying ... your camera is ringing, Nokia Connecting People ... very beautifully crafted ads ... Ericsson, its about communication between people, the rest is techology ... well done
those asian brands are shamefull ... try to draw sympathy asking people money by not giving the feat

So now they want to enter in mid range market, not to make flagship killers but to compete with other mid range phones and capture the market.

When i was read OP z will come with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ i was very excitd for that, bt now coming with 765G, thats hrt brokn thing for me. No need of 5G for me. Now looking at IQOO Z1. Waiting to indian launch of IQOO Z1

I used to have Oneplus X. It was a nice phone, felt premium (no plastic) and it was only 250usd. Good camera, amoled screen, headphone jack and smaller size (I'm still human and my hands have not grown for massive screen phones). Hopefully this will be something similar. If not will have to buy something else.

I remember their best times,the 3-5t era. Never got to own any of their phones but i know they were great. Sadly,all these notches and punch holes and bezel-less screens don't give phones personality. Remember when you could tell phones from a distance just by looking at the front? (One exception,at least in europe is the samsung s10+,which has a dual punch hole that you can tell from a distance,but it's not as cool as bezel-with phones)

This company is in some damn dream world.
I did buy a OnePlus 8, but was disappointed and have sold it off.
Stupid things like a 2mp camera, no headphone socket ect ect..
OnePlus, you are good at copying stuff below other makers, just like most Chinese meToo companies.. just stick to that.

The era of flag ship phones with $1000 price tags are fast disappearing. May be one+ is smart to realize it before others come to
Sucomb sooner or later. After all your $1000 plus phone only good for the most four years or so before updates stop and software is outdated. Some people always have money to burn but that segment of consumers is also shrinking. Anything over "300$" for Nord is too much.

So basically what they're doing is making a K30 5G with a slightly smaller holepunch, a smaller battery, and a bit better software. And releasing it half a year later, for the same price. I don't see the logic behind that. There were way better options for them in terms of parts. They could've went with the far superior Dimensity 820 that's in the much cheaper Redmi 10X 5G.

Maybe they realized they are no longer the flagship killer company they wanted to be 6 years ago. Now they are just like other company releasing expensive flagship phones that nobody cares anymore. So now they are trying to put out something affordable now. Great, now with Redmi and Realme dominating the segment.

Well it will hard for oneplus atleast they have to innovate a lot in that midrange price segments their are so many better phones like redmi k30 realme x3 with flagship processor so price will be the main factor here.Though oneplus have far better OS the oxygen os is far better than MIUI and realme os
