i dont think people will bother installing arm based windows on their macs, as you wont get much performance out of it in the first place.
so this might be a set back for many to switch from mac to pc, and just go hackintosh way.

Why should I need to buy an Xbox when I do have a pretty decent PC?

I have my PC connected to my TV and two Xbox 360 controllers wireless connected to my computer.
        Works flawlessly.

With that being said I'm not using Windows, I'm running Ubuntu, luckily there are plenty of games out both for Mac (Intel so far of course) and Linux by now.

Instant kill for gamers and many professionals. Just five of my friends are .net developers and have macbooks. This is pretty much not the possibility for them.

So now you literally can't game on Mac

TBH for Macbook 12 and Macbook Air these ARM machines will be excelent - you can't do serious work on them anyway and you can't really mess up cooling (even intentionaly) on ARM.
                So excelent netbooks incoming.

At this point, I am convinced that if those ARM macbooks do get good sales numbers, that means Apple fans are beyond salvation. They are completely lost and have zero criteria when choosing a product.

Android-Master, 26 Jun 2020No wonder Windows is the first choice of OS on PC platform ... moreYup, I so agree with you. I did tried out macOS and did like its Linux-like feel, but Windows is definitely the one to go as there is far more software support in it than macOS. Even Windows 10 ARM is not a bad performer despite the fact it doesn't have emulation support for x64 softwares.

Oh good, one valid reason for me to avoid ARM MacBook. I'm willing to bet that they would completely remove the Thunderbolt 3 port for ARM MacBooks.

Windows is the best hands down. Many functions many possibilities. Very customizable very easy very useful and user friendly. Who said Windows isn't secure? Windows is secure enough but many users can't use it properly.

                            Handicapped ecosystem got handicapped further.
Atleast it had an arm and a leg to move with the boot camp, now it's without any limbs floating in oblivion.

No wonder Windows is the first choice of OS on PC platform not MacOS.
It's head and shoulders above the competition.

Macs are already less than 10% of the total PC market. Without bootcamp they are at 7% and i'm generous. With inevitable transition problems and anemic performance they will be less than 5%. So close to irrelevance.

Meanwhile in the X86 space, AMD just claim that they have improved their efficiency by a x25 factor, and more coming in the future. And Intel will double down.

                                  Good luck Apple!

I have owned a Mac for about 7 years. I used boot camp for a few Mac os versions. I had to reinstall both mac and windows each time there was a new mac update. The windows on the mac was so slow and then switching OS was a pain because I wanted to use each OS instantly. I am looking forward to the new arm mac mini coming out. My iMac is on the old side and I will be replacing it this year. I recently bought an i7, 16gb ram Surface pro 7 that I bought to replace my old iPad but I didn't like it as a tablet but it was extremely useful to replace a labtop. So, I decided to also dock it and I was able to use RD client on my iMac to remote into the Surface Pro. I have everything set up to share Hard drives between each other. I got dragged into the Apple ecosystem but Windows still has a huge function.

Qba, 26 Jun 2020Windows is like Android, don’t work.it surely not safer but definetly more optimizable and easier to use.
Android is 85% of market share and windows users are 88% of world wide users.
so android is similar to windows as it has soo many users, thats why hackers tend to android than ios or Macos,so many users=more data and so many companies=easier security breaches.
