I am not believe to anything like that the self clearing is just a marketing gimmick.

A UV case isn't a bad thing as long as the headphones are built with materials that aren't degraded by the light. You do all know that most types of plastic are damaged by exposed to UV? That said, it's not a feature that I care much about. A good battery that can stand a thousand charges and waterproofing so they can be cleaned with disinfectant are more important to me. That and decent sound of course.

The idea is great, but it's not a definitive reason to buy.

          these or airpods pro ?

Nice idea but I am sure no one will buy for this reason only

I never knew people putting earbuds in places other than their ears otherwise why would somebody need to clean them.

This is really dumb and must be marketing. To create a light that kills off germs you have to use a high energy photon source like a germicidal mercury lamp with a range of 254-265 nanometers. Now good luck finding that with leds! UV leds are way past 300 nm most of them are in the 400 nm range, so they are useless for germicidal purposes. Last time I checked NASA tried to develop some UVC leds but the cost was astronomical.
So LG keeps doing its gimmicky stupid feature stuff instead of creating a normal rational product.

They can vanish themselves off the maket right away and nobody would drop a tear for another cashgrab, low quality TWS.

I know lg make audio related equipment.. but this might be targeted specifically for mobile use...

Maybe they getting ready for removal of 3.5mm jack on next lg flagship?

The sign can be seen as lg did not included a quad dac on valvet..

That self cleaning feature sounds really great, kind of surprised no one thought of this previously.

                              I'll be getting these!
