Let&... moreBro the fact of a matter is ...those things that lower the cost will acutly incrse the cost for the user...I dont wanna sound arrogant but...trust me those 5w older chargers are creap comparing to lets say 10-12w,not to mention the 18w that the 11 pro came with....So if you good with them selling you a phone which does not have a headphone pair,a charger or even who knows maybe a cable...its your problem...Imo this so called accessories are strndar and should be added in each bundle....if you have a fast charing iphone (8,8+,x,xs,etc) use it with the 18w charger and than swap back to the 5w one and see the difference which ,if you let it over night you wont see any but if your in a hurry and leave it 30min with the 18w you get almost 50% battery while with 5w you get at best 25%....For the good of the customers instead of wanting to me the same profit from each unit as they did the years before, why not lose a little but keep customers happy...I mean lets say they made 659 on each unit why not make 655 or 650 on each this year but keep customers happy and give them all the things the modeles before had

kiloh3rtz, 31 Jul 2020This is absolut BS...I mean sure why not just put the phone... moreThe main point here it it lower the cost of the phone. Let's say you have old iPhone accessories on your home, then you could use it for replacement. This strategy is for budget friendly. Because some hardwares of the phone costing so high so they think it would be very expensive. To make it similar price from the iPhone 11 series, they remove all accesories.

This is absolut BS...I mean sure why not just put the phone in a "plastic eco friendly" bag and send it like that or better just send it wihtout and thing just send the phone without a screen you want the screen its extra...the base model screenless is 1.1k euros....I myself own an iPhone 11 pro and I can say this while I am not a fan of Apple I do like iPhones...But this ,this is just wierd...The headphones are a must since most headphones dont least more than 1 year before they go bad on iphone...The power brick also if they can do 20-30-1000000 w why not include it...Yeah I have the old 5w and ofc the 18w...but those 18w only came with pro models ...so maybe some1 who comes from iphone 7-8 x,xs dont have those 18w bricks and trust me adding 30 euros for the brick 20-30 euros for a cable and another 30-250 euros(if you wanna go wireless) adds well...atleast 90 euros maybe even 100...on top of a phone whose already 1.1k....Not a pretty smarth move.....Also saying that 5g modems added to cost ,yes they did but also samsung and others added 5g and all the other things including an adaptor for easy move....Sooooo that logic dont stand...I does stand if you wanna add futures to a phone and wanna keep your profit the same...and sell the phone at the same price...in this situation the only way to cut costs is cutting down the accessories...But for Apple the bircks the headphones and the cables cost maybe dollar if not peenys soo...That is what I call call corporation greedyness...Final word I wont buy another iPhone if this flys...rather buy a 1 plus or even a samsung...

U said that "The industry in general is shifting away from useless accessories"
        What about TWS earbuds?
        Wireless pod?
        Apple Watch?

Aren't those things are USELESS in essence, as the conventional charger and earphone are working fine (heck, it's better than the 'wireless' in SO MANY things).

The last, u talk about choice.
What 'choice' do people have when they already 'trapped' in Apple's environment?
NOTHING; no OEM build a smartphone with iOS other than iphone, so, if Apple decide that they are going to exclude charging brick & earphone, that's it.
in short; u have to accept what Apple give to u without complain.

That's not the case in Android, where u can get other brands' device if u don't like of the ommision of feature(s) in their preferred brand (MicroSD slot, notch, camera, fast charger, etc)

cool so the phone is $300?

Don't know about the rest of you, but I've got chargers from: Samsung (GS4, GS7), HTC (Touch Dual, One M7), Apple (iPhone 4, iPhone X), and Essential (PH-1). I could probably go the rest of my life without acquiring another charger and still have too many. Also, the last pair of pack-in headphones I actually used were from the iPhone 4.

The first phone I ever saw ship without a charger was an early series Moto E or G. Back then it seemed crazy, but at this point it actually makes a lot of sense to me not to. My work has an electronics recycling collection bin, and from it we have donated or recycled boxes upon boxes of just old chargers over the years.

If leaving out a power brick and set of headphones helps offset some of the (IMO totally unnecessary) 5G tax, I'm fine with it.

Any reputable store will not buy a phone for resale without the original packaging and accessories. You are propably doing lot more harm for your battery by using fast charger than charging it overnight. There isn’t any data that charging your phone overnight will have any noticable effect on your battery, because it’s imposssible to measure because we are now talking about something which happening in very long period of time, not just suddenly. So if you care your battery so much that you won’t charge it overnight then i recommend to not use fast charger.
