AirY, 01 Jul 2020Its going to becone 2nd flop show by oneplus after oneplus ... moreyes truly if the current pricing rumor is 38k then its no less than gimmick better to invest in one plus 7t packing a similar yet powerful deal

Sri-B4U, 01 Jul 2020As it would take atleast 2 years for 5G to be available in ... morebro these phones are released globally not only in India where 5g millimeter waves are there on fewer networks if they release a separate variant in Indian market for cheaper rates it will be same like Samsung exynos n onepkus will be no less that Samsung to trolling.

Sri-B4U, 01 Jul 2020As it would take atleast 2 years for 5G to be available in ... moreIn 2 years there might be a few towers in Delhi and perhaps couple other cities.

The 5G coverage basically anywhere in the world is so miserable and its real life advantages compared to the last generation so little that honestly if they offered the same version of the phone without 5G antena for 20 usd less most people would probably pick it

As it would take atleast 2 years for 5G to be available in India, Wish they would have release the phone with 730 in India at more affordable price and reserve 765 for other 5G ready nation

AnonD-923722, 01 Jul 2020768G only a little jump, better if Oneplus put either an 85... moreNope.
Dimensity 820 would have been a great fit for this phone.
Would have also kept the prices low despite sporting 5g.

Likely over 400$ price tag after all, idiotic double punch hole, 765G instead of 855+ or Dimensity 1000... Even that name is annoying, OnePlus Z would've sounded much better.

This is rounding up to an epic fail. If they planned it to be OnePlus Turd all along they shouldn't have hyped it as "going back to beginnings", because this is exactly the new OnePlus that everyone hates - massive advertisement campaign, zero delivery.

                    Are you serious?

There are plenty of other options, including dimensity 1000L or 1000, snapdragon 855+, but why?

People always feel better to buy the latest available chip and brag it to everyone. They refuse to buy a chip that there's a better one in their respective section. Sadly, only Xiaomi's Redmi K30 Racing has the SD768.

Not the true oneplus. The true oneplus had the best soc on the cheap

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2020Who would buy the 8 if this had a 855+ ?That's why the 8 is a failed one. For the same $699, it is the same price as the Oneplus 7T Pro minus 5G and 865. Oneplus 7T Pro has better cameras, screen, and price.

If the Oneplus Nord is $399 with 90hz OLED, 5G, 765, Warp Charge 30T and triple cameras then it is great. But if it is above that, consider Realme X2 Pro, Oppo Reno Ace, and even the Oneplus 7T.

Using a better chipset would conflict with the more expensive offerings , hence the 765.
