Honor 30 Lite announced: 90Hz screen, Dimensity 800 and 48MP camera

02 July 2020
This is smaller than the Honor X10 Max, but it's on par in terms of performance.

These seems like promising features, especially like the Dimensity processor - it will be a good choice in terms of performance and affordability as well.

For now it's confined to China, and doesn't have international band support so it's irrelevant to an international audience at the moment. If it is released then pricing will determine whether it's a great value midranger or not. The k40 will be released this month though and there'll be plenty of competition from other brands too by the time it gets an international release

The one which will eventually be sold worldwide will have fully functional play services.

The honor phone even after sideloading play services still won't support Google pay, Netflix in HD, etc.
No such issues on Redmi 10X.

I think GSMArena must start a Disqus about how useful 90hz display on midrange phone. Since we know higher hz speed is optimal if had high specs too.

Huawei should have remove the 2mp depth sensor to bring the price lower. Heck even a single lens 48mp is enough as long as it is very good quality, take iphone se as example.

Huawei has lost Google support, now with impose NM on every its phone, it will lose global customer too.

NM is very rare, only Huawei sells it, and it will never be a standard. Another lost for Huawei.

And oh, remember how Huawei turned back on XDA too, no bootloader unlocks until now.

You all know where they are headed into, oblivions, unless they change all of those.

5G and 90hz for under $300, I would rather get this than the Oneplus Nord. This is basically the same phone, minus OLED, stereo speakers, Glass and Metal Build, And most importantly, GMS, And it costs so much cheaper

Redmi 10X has already destroyed this with proper Google Play services functionality.

If they offer this in Europe for 250€, they will sell many units, even without Google services ( it's possible to download everything very easy, except YouTube).

Pretty certain Huawei may buy MTK soon or heavily boost their R&D.
Rumours are, that MTK also have a 5nm chip in the pipeline and the Mate 40 Pro will come with Kirin 1020 and the regular Mate 40 will have a 5nm MTK SoC with A78 and G78.
Would love it if both MTK and Huawei put some squeeze on Qualcomm who are asking a high price for their top range SD8x5 chips.
