I see a great deal of Android users bashing this phone. Their target appears to be the OS and the hardware. The 808 has been shown to run exceptionally smooth. Symbian Belle is a very full functionally OS that doesn't require quad cores like Android does. And I see some comments that its also ugly. Well it is the Android fan that always says in here that they don't care what a phone looks like as long as it runs great.... well then why pick on a phone's looks??? And this phone isn't necessarily about those things. Its about the long time development of the best camera to ever be in a phone. THAT is what the 808 is all about. And I can see Nokia using the 808 as a development platform for future PureView products.

I think those who prefer milti-core processors and 4K resolution displays never heard about optimization. Why don't you sit in front of your hyper-super 30 inch displayed phone and play on it without bashing this Nokia. That is because you can't accept that is a real innovation. 5 years of long-term R&D. Not year-to-year processor core multiplying and display enlargement. You accept it or not...it is and will be a legendary phone. Everyone who bashes this phone mentions the OS and the single core and the camera. Not only the camera is the best. But REAL stereo sounds with Nokia Rich recording never mentioned. None of your phones can record undistorted music in a concert. This is a real innovation in a phone. Not quad-cores and voice commands, HD resolutions etc. And be sure that this phone not drains the battery because not the main processor is the only one packed in it.
Please just leave if you don't like this brand. If you are enough old, you definitely had a NOKIA.
This message is for the fandroinds! The most interesting thing is that my friends who have apple totally accept the technologic innovations of Nokia.

OMG!! What kind of comments here? Opinion war among fanboys? Why not comment about the specs, plus and minus, using experiences, etc. Be objective, buddy!! What people need here are something that they can use as preferences before decide to buy, not childish brand guardian debate.

Just viewing the the picture pureview vs canon5d mark iii Hahahhah.... are you making a joke?.. even kids know that picture were not capture using dslr. Come on nokia.. if pure view can easily beat almighty dslr with that small body. Maybe after this no more big dslr exist in this world hahaha.. stop trying to prove pureview can defeat dslr. But in smartphone world yes i have to agree nokia leading a way. 41mp with no machanical razor mirror blade like dslr will never be equal as you claim. Dont forget no point u having big mp with single aperture. And the blur u have and b-stop is just a software not made by human skill itself.
Do fight among other smartphone but dont come near to dslr world.

FACT: 808 PV camera is better than ANY PHONE ON THE MARKET, it is BETTER EVEN THAN MOST PS DIGITAL CAMERAS AND ALMOST AS GOOD AS MANY DSLRS (see the gsmarena test against Canon 5D EOS)!!! What for you need dual/quad-cores?? games? are you a child??!! This beast can proccess 2 billions pixels per second while recording 1080p at 30fps!!! It's hilarious that Nokia fans call Apple and Google fans sheep, yet they turn around and pay $700 for an outdated Nokia running an ancient OS on an outdated hardware that is several generations behind.
Yet, at the same time proclaiming Nokia being the best and the phone being the best. Haha, so delusional.
But it's OK, when Nokia goes bankrupt, you'll have no choice but to come out of your caves and face the modern world, it's going to be amazing for you, you'll feel scared at first but then you'll realize that you've traveled 10 years into the future when you use an iPhone or an Android phone.

We don't need higher specs on phone, an acceptably decent specs is enough as long as the phone works perfectly as it is intended to be. We don't do 3d studio max or autocad rendering on phone. So what are higher specs for? for boasting?

41mp photos to be viewd on a 0.3 mp screen, with photos that will be saved as 8 mp, and with a battery that will drain after 50 photos and 30 minutes of browing the web without flash content.
Okay.....beter off getting a canon dslr of ebay for 300 usd and getting dual core 720p screen phone with the rest of 399 usd.
