The Y series will add more choices for users and I think that is really nice in terms of accessibility. Good specs powered by Mediatek as well.

Hilmawan, 03 Jul 2020Coverage and accuracy are two different things just because... moreYes, you are right, one thing is what it is capable of and second whether it will eventually do it. But if they do present it as such, it should mean it has been previously calibrated.

We will see how it goes, but I personally believe the real value is in having the screen this coverage, not many screens have it, even if you do try to re-calibrate it.

The 55 inch model is great no doubt, just as the 32 inch, but the 43 inch model is a hard sell considering it lacks both hdr as well as 4k option which every low cost competitor is giving at the same price range. It also lacks a wall mount option. The Android os isn't anything groundbreaking either. Looks like oneplus has kind of forgotten the concept of vfm that helped them reach the top.

Considering the price, i would say pretty good TVs.

It's same when you buy 100 bucks worth of phone, you wouldn't expect a flagship....oled, 120hz etc...

Liquid Crystal Display Vs. LIGHT EMITTING Diodes... this is what display uses to project pictures.. CRT displays had the best clarity. OLed is where each diodes are independent source lights hence they give the deepest black.

So technology wise they are similar not same. But the output is completely different

The 32 and 43 inch tv support only 2.4G wifi band and many ISP like Airtel only provide UP TO
100mbps on this band. I have Airtel with 300 mbps but need 5G band for this speed. The 2.4G maxes out at 50-70 mbps on normal days.

There is no wall mount option disappointed ☹️.

not bad. Now all I need is them to be available in my area, need one for lightweight gaming.

just having a beer, 03 Jul 2020I think most people missed the part of 93% DCI-P3, which sh... moreAnd after I look in more detail on the official website of OnePlus only 55U1 supports HDR content that means 93% coverage of DCI-P3 color space will only make the 43Y1 and 32Y1 screens look more vivid but both TVs will not be able to display HDR content accurately because DCI-P3 is a color space normally used for HDR content.

I hope you don't misunderstand me. I'm not trying to say that these three tvs are bad, in fact, I think they are very good, especially at the price offered. I'm just trying to correct a few misunderstandings of some of the things you say.

That's why when you buy a high-end monitor you will be given a calibration tool so you can ensure that the screen is able to display images/videos accurately and many people don't know that the screen accuracy will continue to change so after a while you have to recalibrate.

I think most people missed the part of 93% DCI-P3, which should mean pretty decent colour accuracy for movies. Most of the TVs don't show this calibration, which often can mean different colour reproduction. Considering the price, it is definitely decent, just shame the 43" is not having 4K TV option.

Aditya, 02 Jul 2020seriously this is LCD!!!!! not LED or OLED or QLED, but LC... moreIt is sad to see that there are still people who don't understand what they are talking about.

Almost all LED or QLED TVs are LCD only Sony Crystal LEDs or Samsung Mini LEDs are truly pure LED screens, large screens on the roadside or in urban areas are also pure LED screens.

The LED or QLED TVs for consumer are just LCD screens with LED backlights just like the screens on a phone that use LCD the only difference is whether the TV uses a Edge lit or Full Array LED backlights some even add quantum dots.

If 32 or 43 inch one plus come out I will test them to see if their good for budget tv or not
