saddameu, 04 Jul 2020i came from s10 to p40 pro and i fill like it blows s10 in ... moreSwitched from the S9+ and completely agree with you. EMUI offers a seamless user experience. I truly love it. And with the latest update they added the smart charge feature which ramps up the charge overnight to avoid battery damage.

Anonymous, 03 Jul 2020Oh? How you backup WhatsApp to Google drive?Although I find it completely nonesense and I'm not sure why people are asking about it as if it's the pinnacle of technology but Whatsapp msgs can be officially backed on the Huawei Cloud.

saddameu, 04 Jul 2020-you open it like on every smarhphone in this world or from... moreYeah what you just did there is pretty much saying "why use facescanner or fingerprint scanner just use password" "why use google go to library and search it there" etc.
Its easier and better in side gesture way. Not a necessity, but it makes everything easier and one handed.
I agree they really overpriced their devices this year it doesnt make sense anymore. And according to the rumours
Note20 will cost $1249
Note20 Plus/Ultra will cost $1500
Not really a smart move considering economy is on the verge of collapsing this year thanks to a certain disaster

PartTimePhoner, 04 Jul 2020Well, I never had any problems with my fingerprint scanner.... more-you open it like on every smarhphone in this world or from edge screen
- hit back or swype up from bottom same as i did on my s10 ( you must be not using the last version of one ui if you dont it like that)
- scroll down notification and hit the gear icon same as s10
-much better way of taking screenshots, show your palm then close it remotly, knock twice on your screen or press volume down and power off at the same time ( you need to enable some of these features to work )
-swype left or right from the bottom same as s10
-same as any other android
-swype up from bottom and hold
- press the lock button?
-swype down and enable the flashlight(s10)
-swype in diagonal from bottom right for 1 hand mode
-swype from left or right and hold for edge screen
i've never done that list from below so i really cant comment on that, i did hide my career name and added the battery percent left inside the battery icon.
point is i find 70% things the same as my s10, 10% doing it better, , 10% doing it worst, 10% doing it in a different way but not necessary better or worst , i just about getting used to , i still android.
my girl has s10+ and has same problems with fingerprint, only way to make it work better is have no screen protector at all which is not a solution, is simple no match for my p40 fingerprint and the face id solves a problem i never thought i had and if you google it around there are tons of people complaining about it.
also battery is much better than s10 too but then again s10 had a pretty shitty battery life even compared to s10+.
Let's see what competition brings next year, i'm always open minded but i really dont like where samsung is going latetly with their outrages prices for what they offer , they starting to transform into apple and huawei into samsung

saddameu, 04 Jul 2020i came from s10 to p40 pro and i fill like it blows s10 in ... moreWell, I never had any problems with my fingerprint scanner. Works even if I came out of shower shortly before.
Navigation isn't so different you say? Can you:
-open a specific app
-close your current app
-open quick settings
-take a screenshot
-switch to the previous app
-open a virtual touchpad
-pull down the notification bar
-see all running apps in a small popup and close or switch to them
-turn off display
-turn on/off the torch
-boot one-handed mode
-open split-screen
And many more
With just a single pull from the sides, with handles, you can put wherever you want and size however you want? No, not without third-party apps.
I also can:
-make the app names invisible
-paint the notification panel, however, I want,
-change everything about my lock screen
-change the animation of "recent apps" key
-add specific buttons to the navigation bar
-hide anything I want to from the notifications bar (wifi or Bluetooth symbols or signal strength bars etc, basically everything up there)
-make a routine so that whenever I open a specific app without the wifi, mobile data automatically turns on
And still a lot more.
I don't use smart stay so I cannot comment on that
That Knox thing is really problematic but IDK, its an extra feature.
Samsung has its shortcomings but has its extras that are too great as well.
It's about priorities.

PartTimePhoner, 03 Jul 2020That UI is worth the money on Samsung tho. Ever used OneUI ... morei came from s10 to p40 pro and i fill like it blows s10 in most aspects. How is your experience with your fingerprint sensor that doesnt work when too dry or too wet or miss the spot by a bit? I almost broke it 2 times from the frustration giving me no match a crucial times , same fingerprint that is on s20 series too.
p40 pro even has same gestures for navigations like my s10 so what's exactly so much mind blowing about oneui because after 2 days of usage i literary felt no difference in navigation experience .
For instance my p40 pro has usable ultra power saving mode while on samsung is useless as it disables the fingerprint and if you have a long password you gotta use that everytime you turn on the screen.
My s10 with smart stay would keep his screen on when being pointed at the walls, god knows what faces it would see there , i had to disable, my p40 pro smart stay and unlock is 2 generations ahead of my s10 and the list can go on and on, after 10 years of samsung they will have to fight hard to win me back.
Also i reported to samsung support a big vulnerability on their knox folder and you know what they answered me? "you gotta pay for knox business to have support" , i dont need support you f clowns, i'm reporting a big security concern.

BigDisplay, 03 Jul 2020Lol typically Samsung slow charging 😂I wish they left the 15W to Tab A series and went for the 25W or 45W on the Tab S series.
25W fills the 5000mAh S20 Ultra from 0 to 100 in an hour,
25W on 10000mAh would work like a 15W on 4000mAh

OneUI destroys the competition honestly, huawei has good phones with great cameras but I will be using the camera 10% of the time at best, while I will be interacting with the UI all the time.
