I just know by buying this phone that i had to sell it right away because a piece of junk...Come on, SE paid a lot of money to make it phone of the year!
Only 2 MP, and crappy video recording at (QVGA@15fps)and no GPS.

The judge is Proffessional, they know the best handset which has balanced features. Please... do not angry with this decission you nokia Fanboy, it just makes u look such a pathetic looser and stupid.

As a phonahulic and had a 40 deferent Phones in past 10 years. SE w910 sucks, Looks great, But batter life is not 9 hours, is less than 4 hours, i chrarge the phone at night (100%) and from night till mornining with out useage battery goes to 80%. i believe w850i is way better handset, i had it that before but they navigation part of it broke.

Hey guys,
I don't know whether SE wone by xperia or not.look SE changed from uiq to windows mobile.Somehow it is a shame! for a brand.It means previous uiq was not successful and can't compete with windows mobile. let's see what happens to nokia symbian.If nokia continues on symbian and stays a rival for Windows mobile,Then I am sure the winner is not SE with xperia.making 4 inch size displays and 23.345! megapixel camera and some gigabyte storage is not sth difficult guys!

hey, there! Sony Ericsson is the best!!! W910i really deserves this prize! I own the model and it really is great. everything about it is great! the way i see it, SE is way ahead nokia, motorola, lg and all that crap.

Eww man, W910 totally cheated. They use microSD USB adapter to cover up their slow USB transfer rate. Boooo!

frst of all no Nokia fans are sore.the thing is tht i personaly dnt like these 6500 classic and 6500..ok they have gr8 body but they drink battery like water!so this award is right.now if u say nokia n95 lost,then u suk cuz i think this award was for a mid end phone tht every1 can aford unlike n95's and n82's.so w910 is good choice..still i am gona buy n82 end feb..YEAH!!!!!!!

For those of you wondering why the Sony Ericsson won as the best handset for 2007. Let me correct your misconceptions:
1. The Best Handset Award is not about features
2. It is about reliability, ease of use, design, potential of the handset to integrate and be used effectively in most scenarios and by most type of people
3. This is the reason why the 6500 Classic, and not the N95 was nominated
4. Since it concerns the potential for universal use and integration, a device of a hefty price and full-functionality is simply out of the question
5. Why not N95 or Apple Iphone: The N95 is an expensive phone with a lot of features, which admittedly are merely extras, not necessary enough to be missed in a typical day. The Apple Iphone is even more expensive coupled to a capitalistic subscription plan and focused heavily on multimedia and interface yet forgetting the common sense and basics of a real phone.
As the article said, the W910 is indeed a balanced feature-phone. Light on the hands, just the right features (not too high tech nor outdated), with the right mix of abilities to match most people's need for productivity and entertainment.

W910 truely deservd the best phone award. Its hav great design,great desplay,great music playr,fast intrface and new features like shake control,sense me,auto rotat ui etc

@Dani,can you please tell me how many w910 did you had? It does not have good quality sound,not a decent camera,lame interface,it does not feel good in your hands,many users complaining about issues with usability and from my point of view it is not even worthy enough to carry the walkman brand. And to all you guys out here saying NOKIA this and NOKIA that let me ask a question,does NOKIA needed this award to become the worlds no.1 mobile phone company? Get the fact and stop dreaming.
