Sony Ericsson is very good.always add more new item on it.nokia is always copy the item of sony ericsson.

For the people saying Nokia is copying SE, How about E61i? Was it from P1i or from Nokia's own E61? or what is SE selling when Nokia had E61 ?

wtf buddy, n73 was announced way before k800. its the n73 black me fone which was announced after k800. get your basics right.
and right from the begining (may it be 2mp, 3.2mp, 3mp, 5mp cameras + front webcams + gps) se always copies nokia.
no problem with copying something. But think before you write.

i got shocked to hear that SE W910 go da best headset award 2007, W910 is comparable to Nokia S40 phones but how come they become more powerful then N SEries fones. stupid selection ha , to be fair it should be N95 which made a great affection last year , or else SE
Fans still arugue it should be a SE brand then , My guess should be K850 , .

nokia is simply copying SE phones feature
take a example of K800 n W800
when the k800 was announced afte 1 month nokia announced thier nonsence N73 wid same feature n quality except OS
n when SE produced W800 so nokia announced thir bulk 3250
so where nokia's creativity has gone........???

I agree with those who say Nokia phones crash and freeze a lot. But most of you are talking of old Nokia phones (N73, 3250 etc). The next-generation Nokia phones such as 6500 slide, N81 8GB, 5610 xpressmusic and N95 8GB are very fast and almost never crash.
True, the W910 is very stylish. But where are the features? I'd have rather prefered the W960, Viewty or N81 8GB get the award.

exactly. most of us don't need those features. Just imagine what if Nokia could remove slow symbian from the bottom layered N series phones and invest that in development of their series 40 platform rather. Series 40 still lags behind the similar kind of interface of Sony. This way I really appriciate the strategy adopted by the people at Sony Ericsson, develop each platform independently according to niche. They maintain a distinction between their hi-end P series phones and never mix and match with the feature phones. Both are seperate segments catering different kind of users rather that ballantly putting OS in each and every of the God Damn cellphone.

yea maverick, i agree with you. most of us dont really need os in our phones. it makes the phone slower and crappier. also like n95, ? % people will need such features they dont even use? i myself no need all those things. better get a vaio laptop for that price ( in asia ). sony rules!!

SE should make more phones like that in the Walkman Brand

I at the moment use P990i. and in past have been user of Walkman W550i and Nokia's 6630. Alright, tell me what use have you made of an OS in a phone? install applications?? what if your phone has alreay all the applications which you require from your telephone. Some say that you can install this or that on a phone. I was watching a port of Apache server being made on symbian phone, but what I want to ask is that what exactly we achieve through this? The Phones with OSes take hell lots of times to do simple things like reading smses and making a simple call. Honestly man, what do you achieve by having an N-gage platform on your phone? We do have PSPs right and also Xboxes. Even the NON-OS phones have very cool games.
DO let us know that what great things you have achieved with owning a phone with an OS? Would love to hear your side as well.

Nokia E51
has Symbian which for a first time user is hard to get used to and E51 is more a Business phone then a Multimedia Phone
but then SE W910i already got it so...

the best handset of the year award should go to NOKIA E51. this fone can do everything that an above average consumer requires in daily life. (WiFi, bluetooth 2.0, internet browsing, 2 mega pixel camera that records videos better than Nokia N73. STEEL BODY, SLIM and SLICK (looks very luxury too)

SONY keep the things the same in their phones becuase it makes life much easier that way ..like if you had a Walkmnan headset you could plug it into a K850i aswell as a 2 year old W800i

were as keep changing their things which is a great thing, but life abit more confusing and not backward compatible for e.g. the headset from a 6230 cant work in 6300 becuase 6300 has 2.5mm jack instead of Pop-port !
Same with the Menu in SE the themes from a W810i would still work in a K550i or W610i or another SE !
Were as in Nokia they platforms keep changing which makes the comptability not happen
SE make life alot easier when it comes to things its called *User friendlyness to the User*
Nokia's i know are easier to use ..but SE's are aswell once you get used to them..

Quite interesting to see a GMSaward forum turns into a batterfield for Nokia and SE fan boys.
Could anyone tell me whats the real big improvement in W910 from last years winners D900 & K800?? Even in 2006 we had 3.15mp cam with other regular features. Are we moving forward or backward?
Even though we dont pay much attention to LG. I belive they did a great job with "viewty" and it deserved the award. Neither SE nor Nokia. Peace!

well yes they are .. the phones with os installed is much more superb than the phones with just a firmware ... the s.e. w960 came with os its the most excellent phone upto date with functionality by the walkman series ... its symbian what happend to the old firmware the s.e. used ... at once people who used old time walkmans started to use the w960 they started to face the fact that symbian is a whole lot better than what they have been used to ... im pretty sure that either of u havent used a nokia or a symbain installed phone ... specially u maverick i can tell that from the way u described quick share options to the symbian options ... phones are not for 4 year old kids ... phones are to make calls true but the more things u can do with it the more its really useful ... symbian is useful and it does not let u stick to the old style everytime like the firmware installed in many s.e. phones ... that is the truth ... thats why most nokia phones comes with symbian os installed it makes the users understand the true value of there phones ...
lets think that if u have a kid and he got a s.e. phone and u too ... u will say hey look son i know how to turn on bluetooth " ... and ur 4 year old son will say " yeppiii dada i found it in my phone too " ... and after u get so old like 85 years old u will be in a wheel chair with a new sony ericsson in ur hand " and still u will find the bluetooth option in the same old style menu of ur s.e. in the same place " and u will tell u r son whose grown up by that time maybe 25 years old or something " hey look son i still see the bluetooth option in the same place and these are the same menus i used to " and ur son will reply " man to h*** with that c**p im s**k of that s**t im going to buy something else " !!! ...
that is not the future of a phone pal that is called making phones that are childish and giving it a brand name that makes it look like a super phone lol ... :-))

sometimes I think that what for do we need a stupid OS in our phone? Isnt windows enough in our PCs to be with!! Ericsson makes so beautiful, functional and yes awsumly fast interfaced phones without OS. It really puts question on need of having OS like Symbian or windows in their phones. I wish that people could understand that phones with operating systems are not always better.

the only one i think that cud have been a better phone to beat this is the k770i. now thats a gd phone.
overall i love sony ericssons the most. dont like nokias as much, they are slightly behind, and when they do have a nice phone, they load it with so much software, it crashes and freezes continually. like an overpacked suitcase.
