For me Selfi Camera must take excellent Stage lighting selfi image(face from chest) and rarely with two or three people together (still prefer Primary Rear Cameras though) thats it. I dont expect front facing cameras to perform like primary ones. During video calls it should work properly. I know some psychic people use front facing cameras for Tik Tok videos etc... I am certainly not one of them but I make some funny emoji videos only for very limited audiance for that any camera will do. The front facing camera scores try to separate categories like Portraits, Video Calls, Group Pictures, Dynamic Range and somelow light situations. It cant average out and confuse the buyers with one number. You need many cameras in the back to get scores above 120 plus, just imagine with one or two tiny cameras it is nearly impossible to cover all situations. Otherwise, like Samsung A80 have one camera that can be reversed at will.

Actually, GSMArena should stop with these plug ins ... moreTrue, i feel GSMArena did way better job with analyzing the photo of each smartphone they review, and more accurate representation of what the actual photo seen through average people too, except for video, they don't go throughout with the stabilization of each device

Man please don't trust such reviews or benchmarks. Just buy any phone you like and you want. You aren't buying a phone to show off or to compare with other phones. As long as everything works great and there aren't any major issues you will be fine.

Both GsmArena themselves and Android Authority had negative review of the selfie camera (maybe also XDA), don't know why DxOMark proved otherwise.

I mean it's an Okaaay score, scored higher than the Oppo find x2 pro. But it just goes to show people that MP doesn't mean anything these days, why implement a high MP sensor if you can't nail your camera software. Google has proven that hence why everyone wants a GCAM mod for their phone and why the Pixel 4 scored a 92 on the selfie, the exact same as the 11 pro max

That is a disappointing score. It's still a great phone though, if you don't use the selfie much.

For me the P40 Pro and S20 Ultra is the one i need the most. Both for versetality and quality. Iphone only on videos.

All China smartphone brands (Except Oneplus and P40 Series) have very bad selfie camera because :
1. Beautification too aggressive
2. Noise reduction
3. Lacks Autofocus
4. Pushing Megapixels count on a small selfie camera sensor means bad low light quality
5. Selfie camera not as wide, and it is very tight when on video because of the EIS
