ypcx, 07 Jul 2020Look, i'm an audio enthusiast -- on my desk is iFi iDS... moreThose are superficial comfort advantages for clumsy people over objective advantages. And the solution isn't to force this downgrade to everyone with the excuse that they can get an adapter. Only get rid of something if there is a better technology available, not just newer.

AnonD-558092, 06 Jul 2020I like how you say a perfectly good and reliable technology... moreLook, i'm an audio enthusiast -- on my desk is iFi iDSD and iCAN Pro, w/ Utopia headphones connected thru a silver cable. (Also have a Lampizator.) Besides that I have tons of other wired and wireless setups.
Trust me when I tell you the days of wired are over.
It's not that one is strictly better than the other (they all have their own signatures), but a good wireless performs just as good as a good wired (by good i mean satisfiably), plus you aren't getting tangled into a cable, plus you aren't risking to damage your phone by dropping it when you move and you accidentally pull it by the cable, etc.
You can always get a good USB-C to Jack DAC if this is an issue for you, and keep it connected on your headphones cable.

AnonD-923722, 07 Jul 2020Most people don't mind a small punch hole because they... moreActually in almost all polls, the MAJORITY of peoples clearly are against punch holes, they ONLY prefer it over other alternative, it is just the closest to fulldisplay, but the punch hole itself isn't desired, if peoples had the choice between a perfectly working and non-expensive underdisplay camera and a punch hole, almost no one would prefer the hole.

Punch holes caused basically all sensors to disappear or get put under display, they offer no privacy and along with notches they are in literally almost all smartphones released in the past year.
So YES I am gonna complain that a useless thing (many peoples could live without front camera) that cause to have no 3D facial recognition, poor other sensors, no privacy STILL distract and is annoying for many peoples, eat notification space and is so everywhere that there is almost no alternative is on yet another phone.

The issue is peoples like you, when peoples complain about something like pop up camera, where all arguments used against it are basically debunked fantaisies and myths, where are you to say "stop complaining" to peoples ruining the popularity of something that is really rare ?
But when something that is really annoying and stupid (try to make peoples accept a TV or monitor with an hole in it) that is everywhere is again on another smartphone and someone simply say "except for that thing that I don't like", yeah, you jump on your white horse and proceed to complain about someone "complaining", sure, go ahead, that's certainly now why Smartphones aren't evolving since two years now...

I prefer a 720p 30fps REAL display without any interruption over one with big resolution and fast refresh rate that have a punch hole.
The punch hole is an accident and a mistake, created because Android brands failed at copying Apple's notch but realizing it was an error and trying to reduce it until only the hole is left, and tiny punch hole (who offer lesser camera quality by the way) are literally created because the punch hole is undesired and they try to reduce it the same way they tried to reduce the notch.
Look at how bad it is and how much hate a double punch hole receive, if it was that good or wasn't that bad, just putting a second one wouldn't cause any issues.
Also, if it was that great, why would almost every company try to hide it through different angles, deceiving wallpaper image that hide it in dark spot or where it blend to become nearly invisible, or even create images of the phone without it ?

Get real, notches, punch holes and curved edge display are the worse things along with removal of Jack port that the industries ever found, and the underdisplay camera supposed to "fix" that are ever worse.
Pop up with 3D facial recognition > pop up/bezel/no front camera >>> any other solutions.

AnonD-909757, 07 Jul 2020Except for the punch hole thingy, I totally agree !Most people don't mind a small punch hole because they are too distracted ny the content they are looking at and what they are doing. You are just going to notice the quality of the panel more and the Refresh Rate than the Punch Hole. Stop complaining.

ypcx, 06 Jul 2020- headphone jack belongs to the previous century, get a dec... moreYeah, let me plug my Corsair Void jack to bluetooth so that, even if I really wanted to use an adapter, would gave crappy sound quality, sure.
Actually Bluetooth for audio IS the outdated thing, it have limited devices support, require more expensive stuff with batteries, have TONS of devices that work super well with Jack which is widely used by pro all around the world which is suddenly non compatible...

The solution is to go magnetic ports which have all advantages of both port and portless system, and using a cheap adapter could be easily made compatible with ALL Jack sizes : 2.5; 3.5; 4.4 and 6.35mm, now THAT is the solution of the future, not Bluetooth, which is good for many other things, but clearly not for music.
I have an exemple in the 9th and 10th images here :
                  https://imgur.com/gallery/ykYfaa6

Fast charging technologies have no real correlation between wattage and charging speed, some 25W can easily surpass 75W charging, if you need higher power, then your tech is flawed, and realistically, how many times do you REALLY need fast charging ? Fast charging should be an optional thing, not a mandatory one.
We don't need faster charging, what we need is smarter charging, personally I'll buy many 5w chargers to charge nicely the phones around the houses at multiples spots without damaging the batteries, and if needed having the fast charger ready.
Having a powerbank is way better than to require fast charging because you didn't managed well your batterie level and need to charge it in a rush.

Snapdragon have the best in chip software/hardware acceleration and AI available in Android smartphones, this can easily make or break performances, the RAW power itself nowaday is more and more irrelevant, a little like desktop CPU got less and less frequency focused but where IPC and instruction set is way more important.

                          2- Confirmed longer software support
3- No ads or a way to disable them.

                              - 25W wired charging would be laughably slow
                              - from the pic there doesn't seem to be 4 cameras but only 3
                              - there doesn't seem to be a periscope lens
                              - I don't care if it's Snapdragon or a new Exynos as long as the phone has a stellar wake, sleep and GPS battery endurance
