Thank you for sharing your review of the Skagen Falster 3 X by KYGO smartwatch. Your detailed analysis of its features and performance was really helpful for someone like me who is in the market for a new smartwatch. I particularly appreciated your focus on the watch's fitness tracking capabilities, as that is an important feature for me. Thanks again for sharing your insights!

Coming from a Fossil gen 4 , the a gen 5 Carlylle ... exchanged for the Falster 3 ... love this stylisch designed watch.
Indeed daily charging ... use this tip:
before sleeping , placed on the charger / connected to a timer (charging started under the morning for 1 hour) ... so all the time a charged watch ;-)

btw, I have the Falster 3 gunmetal gauge mesh , only disappointed about the dirt/oxidation on the metal case .... fixed/cleaning on the shower ;-)

    btw, nice review :-)

          Bulky, slow, short living battery.

Buy a smartwatch or fitness tracker that you like and stay with it at least 3 years. Until the companies will start delivering more complete products.

The sensors so far are way out of accuracy. It's not worth spending much on it.

Last major update for OS was in 2018... that says everything.

"...there is still a slight groove that can sometimes get gunked up with food..."
Am I eating wrong for not getting my wrists all gunked up with food? o.O

Anyhoo, it's a nice looking watch with the only thing holding it back is Google's semi-dead Wear OS. Don't get me wrong, I am actually contemplating getting a Wear OS watch as Samsung seems to have given up on delivering Samsung Pay to Ireland. But, every time I look at Wear OS I'm reminded why I don't want to switch away from Tizen.

The only thing that differs with this one is the band........THAT'S IT!!!

I have tried every possible way and nothing works. The same goes for other users who complain in several forums about not being able to fix this.
I'll just wait a couple of months and, if OnePlus doesn't resolve this, I'll ditch OnePlus and never come back. I'll be careful to choose only phones with their Android as close to stock as possible, namely Pixels, Sony, Motorola and maybe Nokia.

tomo100brt, 12 Jul 2020Why do You blame WearOS for any problem with watch? Can it ... moreI can confirm. The connectivity problem mentioned in the review is on the part of OnePlus, not the watch.
I have a TAG Heuer Connected, a Fossil Sport and a Huawei Watch 2 and none of them had connectivity issues with my previous Sony Xperia phones. Also my Fossil Sport had no problems when I briefly connected it with a Samsung Galaxy J5. I have the problem exactly as described in the review with my new OnePlus 8 Pro.
This is clearly a problem with OnePlus Oxygen OS and the 8 Pro that the reviewer is using and this review should be updated accordingly to shift the blame from the watch to the phone.

Why do You blame WearOS for any problem with watch? Can it be the OnePlus that is the main problem? It is known that chinese manufacturers makes UI that kills apps in the background after few hours and after that there are many problems with wearable devices. I didn't have any problems on Samsung and Sony phones with WearOS devices, but on OnePlus after few hours it disconnected WearOS watch. Even Huawei sometimes lost connection with WearOS watch. This happened with Fossil and Skagen watches that I had and then with Mobvoi watch I have. I blame that garbage chinese UI on smartphones because they want to save resources, boost battery life and smoother UI. That is not the way to do that. If Sony can do that without killing any app than it can be done. This is why I don't use any chinese smartphone. Get rid of OnePlus, get non chinese smartphone and You want have any problem with Skagen.

From the review: "One issue I kept experiencing was that I would find the watch to have no connection after wearing it for a few hours".
This has nothing to do with the watch or Wear OS. This is a long standing bug with OnePlus phones. I have three Wear OS watches and I had no connection problems with Sony or Samsung phones. This is the terrible habit of Chinese OEMs to casually kill apps in the background, in order to save resources and boost battery life and squeeze smoother operation. It so happens though that some apps, like Wear OS, need to stay functional in the background. This bug has completely ruined my faith to OnePlus, because it shows that, despite the innocent, nearly stock appearance of their Oxygen OS version of Android, in reality they make heavy changes to the platform, just like other chinese OEMs and in the process they ruin the experience.
