But Realme is a true competitor to Redmi (Xiaomi).
True value for money products.

You simply haven't used Realme.
It's the fastest growing brand for a reason.
In just 2 years it sold 35 million smartphones.

No wonder Android is the OS of choice on smartphones.
It's just these little things that completely transform the user experience.

I have some hilarious memories of iPhone users being envious of Androids with big screens, waterproofing, expandable storage, multiple cameras, faster charging etc.
They simply can't wrap their heads around the fact that a 200$ smartphone can do what their 1000$ smartphone can't.

This will be another wasteful ritual in the Indian smartphone market. The phones, when correctly and properly priced, are beyond the reach of Indian market, just like the launches of similarly priced Oppo series and Xiaomi series of the past. The launch will be symbolic since very few units will eventually be sold, and the total sale will not be profitable enough to compensate for the cost of related marketing, employee training, and setting up the repair units.

Blackk Mamba , 09 Jul 2020If such was the Case, immediately their sales would have go... moreMy wife, who uses an iPhone 11 Pro, was utterly surprised when I used my Xiaomi as a remote for our TV. She asked me why her much more expensive phone couldn't do that. Of course, that wasn't the only thing the iPhone didn't have that the Xiaomi did. I expanded the storage of the Xiaomi with a $20 128GB microsd and it has face unlock as well as a fingerprint scanner. I've had no problems unlocking my phone while wearing a mask, unlike faceID users.

If you see I have not mentioned Xiaomi. This is specifically for BBK owned companies I am referring to.

Xiaomi delivers value for money. But BBK siblings ( except One+) are relying solely upon price game. I have seen few stores where REALME is passed on to buyers with an assurance that REALME and REDMI are same.
Mentioning one+ is my previous comment has a reason which is a long topic by itself.

More features doesn't mean more smart phone. More ram doesn't mean better phone. More camera modules doesn't mean better pictures.

Chinese phones are ruling the market coz they provide great quality phones at cheap prices at the cost of low profit margins.
Take Xiaomi for example, Nobody just toppled Samsung as the King by providing cheap quality products.

People using phones from non Chinese companies simply can't digest the fact that their expensive purchase isn't as good.

No one knows when will 5g launch in India. And these guys are promoting 5g handsets. By the time actual 5g arrives these phones will be outdated.

But in India only two words are enough to sell the product and those two words are - LATEST and AFFORDABLE. Ringing bell phone is a classic example of this.

And exactly this is how OPPO VIVO REALME iQOO One+ have created a market in India. They know the psychology of typical Indian buyers.

I have seen this strategy in many mobile stores for selling OPPO VIVO REALME iQOO One+.
Sales guy will simply say - it has more features and costs less compared to others. And done! the crappy handset is sold.
