A Zen3 Ryzen laptop? Sounds interesting. I'm also interested in the rumored gaming laptop since I read from a Malay tech news website that it will also be powered by a Zen3 Ryzen chipset. I would actually expect at least a Radeon RX 5600 dedicated GPU card tbh.

For me it feels like well rounded machine, but still has some downsides - no DP mode from USB-c for example

The Ryzen 7 4700/4800 is where the money is at.
My 4800U laptop is a beast.

Ryzen 4000 mobile is a beast with the pretty decent price. AMD hold the next generation of Ryzen release since no competition from Intel and delayed until next year.

Personally, I've never used one of their laptops but I'd love to see a higher end Ryzen 4000 based laptops. Something with a similar build to an XPS 15 9500 would be amazing. Nearly every Ryzen based laptop I've found compromises something as most manufactures reserve their premium builds for Intel models with Thunderbolt. I'm betting these will be using the 4500U/4700U rather than the higher powered 4800H.

Nearly every Ryzen machine I've found has a display < 300 nits with poor color accuracy, smaller batteries, smaller touchpads, plastic builds, lower build quality, ect. The G14 Zephyrus has been the closest machine to what I'm looking for so far. Hopefully over the next year, Ryzen models end up in premium lines because the performance definitely deserves it.

Their recent laptops are IMHO decent machines, but Huawei/Honor push with ton of fake reviews on "user review sites" is just disgusting.
