Mediatek themselves proved that it's slightly faster than 765G, maybe on par with 768G, but not faster than that.

Also every chipset throttles in one way or another. And we don't need a drop of apple hate in every comment you post.

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2020IPhone users are the fox who can't reach the grapes. ... morelol what grapes? You mean 120W charging? It's not we can't reach the grapes, is we don't WANT the grapes. On the other hand, continue beliving lies that we will switch to android cause of some charging.

120W charging was literally JUST introduced. You think that it's gonna work PERECTLY without any kind of issues at all? You mean DOUBLING the charging speed without even graphene tech won't hurt the battery in any way? Nice lie.

Also what about terrible software updates and bad app support? You claim you ain't needing any software updates(so see you on android nougat), like android is far ahead in features when each software has their pros and cons, and never talk anything about bad app support.

Go ahead, believe in your own lies about android superiority. We don't care as long as you don't spread the toxicity to somebody else.

Looks like MTK won't be supplying Huawei with a top-end chip for the Mate 40, but might for the P50.
SD875 will largely benefit from the 5nm node and A78.
I doubt we will see X1 in 1st gen 5nm hardware.
Maybe when 5nm gets more mature in Q42021.
ARM just need to drop the GPU cores and focus only on CPU. They are way behind any other GPU vendor in the mobile space.

Blackk Mamba , 16 Jul 2020Amd was behind in gaming in 1st generation owing to lower c... moreActually you're wrong as usual about Qualcomm being Intel.
They have totally different strategy. The problem with intel isn't their design.
It's because they have own house fabrication. Own house fabrication costs a lot of money to upgrade. And for last few years the fabrication has had a lot of upgrades.
Intel just couldn't race with the others like TSMC or Samsung.
AMD couldn't have either. But they made a good decision to ditch own house fabrication and went for other manufacturers.
As Qualcomm doesn't have that issue. Qualcomm is safe.
So, quit making stupid assumptions. MediaTek is never going to cross Qualcomm at least not in this decade, just for the GPU alone.
Only Exynos has the chance if they make things right with the Exynos 1000 by bringing custom GPU.

Fulljack, 16 Jul 2020how could Qualcomm has no access to X1? Arm explicitly lice... moreThe regular ARM program has nothing to do with the X1 core access.
Only those who were in ARM CXC program have access to the X1 core.
It can be all SoC maker or it could be only 2/3 makers.
Qualcomm should have access to the X1 core. That's more logical.

But my opinion was more on the basis of theory as Qualcomm hasn't said a thing about the cortex X1 core. They're completely silence on that topic as far as I know.
That means either they're not sure of using the X1 core or they don't have access to it(which is less likely). Because ARM wouldn't leave a big company like Qualcomm out of this type of program unless Qualcomm wasn't interested in the first place.
As of Now , Only Samsung is known to have access to the X1 core. Other partners are still on the dark side. So, can't tell for sure who's in that program and who is not.

              Sd875 has built-in 5g modem?

it's fair to assume that key partners like Qualcomm get early access during development.

Dimensity slowly doing the same thing with great performance and low price.

Love to see proper competition to Snapdragon as they were going the Intel route with increased prices. Qualcomm is responsible for Chinese flasghip prices touching 1000$ this year.
