Mi 10 pro wasn't a gaming phone. So this having better speakers isn't a big deal. But till tomorrow the speakers on the mi 10 pro is still phenomenal.

Hope they won't ditch 3.5mm jack. Or they could provide a secondary type-c port, one for charging and other to use earphones for simultaneous usage. Having a good speaker on a phone is good and all, but it'd be better to have a good built-in DAC and support for Hi-Res audio than a massive speaker. It's a mobile device, not a home theatre or something. Unless someone just stuck in his room whole day and sole activities are consuming media and games, most of the people would be travelling here and there. And to play a sound track or video or even playing game with a high volume instead of using headphones would just be a nuisance to the people around you.

Like both 'Syerin' and 'actualgamer' said before, gamer would prefer headphones instead of speakers, for gamers using headphones can give them advantage because they can hear ambient sounds, enemy footsteps from behind and even pinpoint location of gunshoots etc, and they can be more focus not distracted from outside noises like people whispering, cars or other sounds, completely isolating from outside world. Try watch those EA gamers athlete or even gaming cafe, they use headphones instead speakers, thats why most gaming laptop dont bother to their speakers, and the proof is we could see plenty of gaming headphones from many brands like corsair, asus rog, razer, etc instead gaming speakers.

The keyword is actual gamer. Those who care about the game and want to be immersed in the experience. Not 12 year olds with underdeveloped brains playing fortnite on smartphones (having a cousin like that, I am very cynical in that respect). Or casuals that run Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok in background and 'multitask'.

The fact that you could count on one hand the number of Lenovo phones that have received more than one major update (android)
Or the fact that any 'decent' earphone/headphone/external-speakers (starting from as low as $10) would sound better, louder and clearer than the best inbuilt smartphone speakers.

For a very specialized gaming smartphone, this is a big gimmick. Most gaming laptop don't even bother to put the best speaker because actual gamers use headphones to listen better by isolating background noises.
