Got my oppo enco m31 2 days ago. They fixed or updated the balance/bass mode.if you are in bass mode it will remain in bass mode even after reconnect or power on . It will not switch back to balance mode automatically untill you put it to balance mode manually or which mode you prefer.

One of the best wireless earphone out there. Pairing with a smartphone that is dolby atmos and hi-res certified, one can experience amazing audio. Truly value for money.

It sounds great and have an average battery life for a day ~10 hours... and recharges in 15- 20 mins. Best feature is the magnetic off.. when you are not using it.

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2020Excuse me? $26 wireless headphones that sound better than t... moreWell no. If M31 sounds better that doesn't imply other competitors sound bad.

Its just every brand have their own sound signature. Oppo sounded great to author because they went for neutral sound signature (unadulterated) over V-shape or any other sound signature. Some may not prefer the same sound stage.

In the bass mode, M31 sounds less of bass heavy but more of Reverb effect giving kind of Placebo effect. Some may or may not like that sound signature

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2020whatever, the wired earphones are always way much much bett... moreWell wired ones have one major issue i.e. their copper wire tend to break from jack due to repeated usage.

My Wired Earphones tend to break easily within 4 to 8 months (I don't buy any roadside earphones but the ones from the likes of JBL, Sony, 1More, etc). I find these wireless as a way to tackle the frequent replacement issue without affecting sound quality (Anyday I go for better audio quality over other things)

Sahil, 12 Nov 2020are they good for use while running? That depends upon factors like what you are wearing or how thin your neck area is. I personally don't use it for jogging but since I wear them around 10-14 hours a day, they never fell off my neck area doing all kinds of daily stuff (unless I use them lying down & some external force is applied).

However, in no case, I think the earbuds will fell down out of ear (only neckband may change its position if not settled properly on neck)

I recognize the orientation of the earphones very easily by the USB port, and honestly, I prefer having volume controls next to each other and fn-btn separated.

Oppo Enco M31 also have multi device connectivity and quick switching between the connected devices. Press and hold the Volume up and down button together for 3 seconds and it will connect to a different paired device.

I have had the chance of trying 6 other earphones, thanks to audio experience zones and amazon refund policies.. before getting this one(Oppo).. I tried Galaxy Buds plus(10k), Jabra 75T(14k). Soundcore liberty 2(7K), Sennheiser Momentum wireless (12k), Airpods 2nd gen (12K).. and Jaybirds(10k). Before this I have owned Samsung Level U, U flex, Jbl t100bt, and jabra 65T. I currently own, Ath M50x bt and M40X. Mee audio M6 pro, akg wired earphones free with s9 plus. Other than the audio technica, literally allmost none of the wireless options even come close to these enco m31s which literally cost 6-7 times less than the competition. Momentum wireless is the only one that comes close until you turn on the LDAC 98khz with a Tidal FLAC. The enco pulls ahead. It is as good as M50x, and slightly more colored than the m40s. I am shocked. You should try these before making any allegations. Price, brand etc all will blur into background. Oppo as a brand, is much larger than probably all of Audio technica, Sennheiser, and all hifi audio brands combined. They have the money and technology to create this and they did.

Love the Community, 20 Jul 2020That's unfortunate... If Samsung, Apple and others wan... moreYes, indeed. But they are more interested in having thick profit margins and sound quality is hardly a priority for most consumers used to bad audio.

The best bet right now would be to buy a Bluetooth headphone adapter like Radstone ES100, Fiio BtrX, Shanling UPx, etc. Just plug them into the headphone cup and get better audio than most standalone solutions. (Check the "Hi-Fi + Hi-Res Audiophiles' Bluetooth Headphone Adapter Thread" on Headfi (summary/initial post from ClieOS))
The modern hybrid amp/dac chips like ES9218p, CS43131, AK4377 are really good and can drive most modern headphones and even some of the most power hungry planar-magnetics in dual chip balanced-mode configuration.

Most importantly you can also use them with all your headphones and more so when you get a better headphone.

If Samsung, Apple and others want us headphone jack users go wireless, they should make something like the Panda or PM-3 for us. Guys like me hate inconsistent sound quality between wired and wireless and the high latency.

That Drop headphone is based on PM3 drivers and it was made after Oppo left the audiophile market and sold the patents . So they probably don't have a plan to reenter and make another set.
"Drop (formerly MassDrop if that name is more familiar) made a deal to purchase some of Oppo's intellectual property, and has put it to good use with the new Panda headphones. It takes the beloved PM-3 and augments the design with wireless capabilities, whilst maintaining the same $399 asking price." -project86@headfi

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2020Bro don't compare Sennheiser with oppo lolMaybe you should check Oppo and their actual audiophile products. The PM3 was regarded as the best closed back headphone (it as the best closed back planer magnetic). And HA-2 is regarded as one of the best amplifiers.
Sennheiser is also a great brand and Sennheiser has a far greater legacy in headphones but that doesn't mean Oppo is any less.

The only reason I am interested in this earphone is because it is made by Oppo so I can trust that they actually have experience in making audio products and is tuned right. I had the sister Vivo's Xe800 and it was a fantastic earphone when chi-fi audio was in infancy. The tuning was quite close to Harman. I really need a cheap and good sounding wireless earphone and this looks like a contender. And if it's bad, I have some spare mmcx connectors that want a new home. :D

I wish Oppo would release an over ear wireless headphone with Planar Magnetic drivers just like the Drop x THX Panda. Linus sort of said that this is the only wireless headphone so far that sounds like wired studio headphones.

Not only that, it should come with Bluetooth 5.2, LDAC, all AptX codecs, less than 40ms latency, USB-C charging and great battery life.
