The new iPad Air could be cheaper but more capable than its predecessor

A sub-$500 price for a possible Apple A13 chipset and nifty upgrades like USB-C and Magic Keyboard support sound nice, but are just rumors for now.

They are marketing iPads as computer/laptop replacements after all. It will need that constant source of power.

Nice try in trying to spin this positive news though.

    they are gonaa omit the in box charger and decrease the price slightly while obviously giving a minor upgrade of specs.
    next gen onwards, since ppl get streamlined to the no in the box charger, they'll star increasing the price like again.

I doubt that the Ipad Air 2020 would use the A13 chipset because the Ipad pro 2020 uses A12 and the air won't use the A13 before the Ipad pro. Mabe next year's Ipad air would use the A13.

          Been expecting in this year..will it come as ipad 8 (budget version) or ipad air 4.. sure will bought one of them for my gaming setup

            I'm already thinking of trying out the Air since I don't like any other variants. The current-gen vanilla iPad is still using the A10 chipset, the iPad mini is too small and the iPad Pro is way too expensive.

            I don't like A13 chipset on the current iPhone 11 models because I don't like its ISP which resulted in an obvious oversharpening effect, but for once I don't care about that on iPad. After all, who take photos using a tablet anyway. Even I don't do that with my Windows 10 tablet.

                  Her current iPad is almost seven years old and she needs a new one.
