17 July 2020
The bean-shaped earbuds should be Samsung's competitors for Apple's AirPods Pro.

I like that they are going for the earbud style and not IEMs.

Don't know how the ANC will work though, the earbuds will leak out sound and that's by design.

I can't stand in-ear bud, this one looks quite promising, if it does not fall, i'll buy 2 or 3 of these no matter what is the price.

AnonD-762416, 18 Jul 2020You could try using a finger to feel how your ear is shaped... morei know exactly how my ear is shaped, but still im wondering how they will stay in, what are they held in place by, what part of the ear, if its the tragus then for me personally they will not work as mine is very shallow, nothing grips it, this is why I am curious to see real world usage before getting a pair, im not convinced they are as practical as they are designed, but hopefully I am wrong

Everyone complained Samsung doesn't have earphones with ANC so they made them which is good. But to be honest, I had the Parrot Zik headphones with ANC for $500 and they didn't block as much noise as Gear IconX without ANC :)). And those were over the ear so they should be blocking more... Personally I think ANC is good but if you design your headphones well, you don't really need it.

I already have over the ear headphones if I want better sound quality & active noise cancellation. The buds live look perfect when I can't use my headphones. Samsung Galaxy Buds sound quality is decent similar to Airpods pro. My headphones cost about $100 more than the Airpods pro & are way better. Hopefully the Buds Live cost less than $150.

As long as its weight is sufficiently low it should stay in place.

It's a unique design. I'm more interested in how they will handle the lower frequencies without a complete seal in the inner ear like most earphones with the help of eartips. I am expecting a more speaker like base with less nuance but we'll have to see.

I do not understand how they will stay in the ear and will not fall with any light exercise. (Unless a tube of fast glue is included)

I want better ambient noise feature. with buds+ when its windy you cant use it. and when people are talking in public you cant tell what they are saying.

if its not suitable for workout not gonna buy then similarly to buds plus.

It's great that it doesn't enter the ear canal. In-ear earphones become uncomfortable to me after about 30 minutes.
I'll definitely buy one. The rose gold/bronze colour looks great.

I think it's a fairly clever design as the outer ear, where it sits, is rather flexible and naturally shaped to hold something bean-shaped in place. I can see they might not fit too small ears or maybe huge Shaq sized ears.
They look to be 2-way speakers, with completely separated chambers, so, a lot of potential for exceptional detail in both low and high frequencies.

i am very intrigued by these, I do think that only specific people may be able to use them though based on inner ear shape, I would buy them but only after plenty of customer feedback, many earphones simply do not fit my ear shape, so I have to rely on hooks to stay in place, galaxy buds worked a charm with the sharkfin, powerbeats 3 and now powerbeats pro have worked a charm for me for years, I wonder about durability during a workout or a run for example with no grip, if they get wet they may just simply slide out, watching with interest though

They look like they would 'fall out' with the first step you take or small bump. They'd be lost in the first hour of use.

Great to see an original design.
Will be interesting to see what the call quality is like as these are not using the popular stem mic.
Hope Samsung has a proper AirPods Pro competitor with these.
