With its already huge 6000mah, even upgrading to something like a Mediatek Helio G90 would be a welcome upgrade in performance even at 12nm.

            Ask samsung, When they are going beyond 9611? 😡

              This is the most cost effective way to "upgrade" a phone, a punch hole and a mediocre in-display fp and voila, no need to spend a dime on new components or software optimisation since it's literally the same phone. Meanwhile you'll be making the same profit as if you made a real upgrade, these guys are genius, can't say the same about their customers though.

                              using same crap exynos 9611 again.. either provide chipset better than snapdragon and mediatek or use them simply........otherwise samsung will loose their customers

                                How long are they gonna push th same crappy chip. They are essentially using their brand image to push sales. the phone should be priced Rs 15k at the max

                                  GVS, 18 Jul 2020M30s, M31 and M31s share same exynos 9611A50s, M21 & also A51

                                    So only difference to the M31 is like 1% STB increase by using a Infinity-O instead of Infinity-U display?
                                    But not surprising that there is not much headroom for the "s" variants as the Galaxy M series this year was great value for money.
