I am previous S II owner, so I know. :)

Also, for your correction, Jelly Bean is 4.1 | 5.0 is Key Lime Pie.

Had my S3 almost 3 weeks now. Absolutely love it, moved up from S1 and the screen on the 3 seemed HUGE at first, now it feels normal and I wonder how I ever got by with a 4" screen.

It truly is lightening fast at everything it does, is light and slim in the pocket and the plastics have a quality feel to them.

      A fantastic handset.

                1) Dual SIM
                2) Stylus input like the Note
                3) Slider QWERTY

Why the Galaxy S II is still good enough
Cheaper to buy new, plenty of second-hand deals too
                  Smaller, lighter device
SuperAMOLED Plus screen (has a full set of subpixels)
Equally good camera with 8MP stills, 1080p video
Same amount of RAM - 1GB
                  Regular SIM slot
Of all the reasons listed, price is perhaps the biggest ace up the Galaxy S II's sleeve. Yes, it's gotten old, but it remains a very solid device, albeit in an upper-midrange position. Then there's the vibrant developer community around the S II, which might give it Android 5.0 Jellybean, even if Samsung decide not to do that officially.

                  Thank u

There are all sorts of smartphones,to cover both real and fictional needs of ours. The galaxy S 3 would not be fit for my personal needs,as I'll soon be doing my army duty and I need something with tv tuner and dual sim.How great would that be if the device I'm looking for was an android, and infact a snappy one, with a single core cortex A9 processor for better battery time?Well there is such a thing in the market apparently, selling for 140 euro including postage cost, has a 5" wvga screen,ICS,2(two)batteries and comes from a chinese brand.Take that samsung, sony, htc, motorola and many others with your overpriced droids!hint for a google search:mtk 6575

Samson agree with Apple, not to release another Apple targeting high-end products at least for another 6 months.

                          How's that!?

Both Samsung and Apple shamelessly steal from each other as well as others. Also Samsung manufacture many of Apple's parts and both source parts from the same third party suppliers.

So if nothing else overlaps are going to happen.

But considering their inbreeding you'd think they'd stop making such public displays of each others copying and tone it down.

S3 is good, not great. The only reason I might upgrade from S2 to S3 is my carrier keeps phoning every 2 weeks as I qualify for a free upgrade if I re-contract.

Sure, could upgrade and sell it instead, but if I'm going to recontract for 2 years then I want something to show for it. Otherwise I hold out a year and wait for the S4.
