Blackk Mamba , 24 Jul 2020 V60 scored around 10 points behind ROG 3 in DxOMark audio tests I meant the 3.5mm audio output if it was not clear.

The detail is not there at all. The 4k footage from it doesn't even look any better than the footage I shot on my old OnePlus One and Galaxy Note 4. And only by tuning the manual controls for a solid minute or two can you get a half decent pic. In a lot of scenarios you don't have that time to tune the controls. Like with animals, cars, anything at all that moves.

you are right about lg store being barebones and yes it is true some of the UI settings aren't polished as ios or 1+ but to make itsound like that makes it a bad experiecne tells me you stay in settings all day long and dont really use your phone like 99% of people

I find it interesting that gsmarena raved about the V60 night shots yet DXO compared them to the iPhone which is no where near as good in gsmarena tests

Who keeps crying about LG's camera. Saying there not as good as other smartphone manufacturers. The LG G4, V20 and up take great pictures. You can't jusdge a camera and give a score when you pull the phone out of the box and snap a pic. LG's V-series in particular. DXOmark does this with there scores. Also now they have a audio test and don't use the built-in EQ. When you have a content creator phone and it's an Android, your going to use manual controls to tune the audio, cameras and video to your liking. Once again, DxomaRk does this. You can't give a camera a bad score when you use auto settings. If that's the case, there should be two tests. One for autoplebs and one for tuned images, videos amd auto. These aren't iclone's.

FishyAF, 24 Jul 2020The amount the BS that LG phones get can only be attributed... moreStop making conspiracy theories.
LG phones have a worse camera and poor software. I have used LG in the past as well as Samsung phones I can see the difference. If not for promotions in electromarkets and operator offers, no one would buy it because LG cannot properly price its phones. This was the case with LG g6 vs Samsung Galaxy s8 and with LG g7 / 8 vs Samsung s9 / 10
The same in the "LG store" there are practically no applications or themes, Samsung has a lot of different applications and themes And dedicated applications that work and are useful, in addition, Samsung supports its flagships for at least 2 years, which cannot be said about LG.
My comment may look like some crazy Samsung fan wrote it, but nothing could be further from the truth currently I'm on OnePlus 7 ditched Samsung after a weak 10 series which does not change the fact that I have used a lot of different phones over the last 4 years and I can see the difference

I admit to not being a big fan of LG after they only providing 3 security and one OS update for my "flagship" V30S. It would appear they stopped support just after one year despite promising 2. That said, DXO is way off on their review of the V60! I've seen several side by side review and the V60 holds its own again Samsung's S20+, beating it in several tests.

I've never trusted DXO phone camera reviews and their audio review are just pointless! Going on and on about a phone's tiny speakers and completely ignoring how calls, music and movies sound on wired/wireless headphones is just dumb. Speaking of audio, that is one thing I will praise LG on. Honestly, the V30S playback on Sony or Bose headphones beats every single audio device I've ever owned including my top of the line Sony amp. I listen to music for several hours a day on my phone.

LG will eventually skimp out on things if people don't buy it. It's starting with the velvet

Firewarrior96, 24 Jul 2020this sums up everything : both V60 vs S20+ have the same ... moreWell yes,but actually no.
Samsung telephoto is not a real telephoto because of the 8K recording, but still,it's designed to be mainly a telephoto (the slight zoom in on the 8K video) and as such,Samsung used software,so the user doesn't see a difference between the optical and hybrid zoom(even most reviewers couldn't tell that it was hybrid).Another similar example is the periscope on the Ultra is just 4x optical, still as good as the P30 pro's 5x optical zoom.

The amount the BS that LG phones get can only be attributed to contrived propaganda against LG phones. The other companies that are scared of LG must be paying up the media, otherwise it makes no sense. Their phones have been fantastic and very much comparable to all the best smartphones out there. And with V60, they listened and also offer tremendous value over other smartphones but it is still being called expensive like wtf.

The other reason could be that initial V10 and V20 were so good that the reviewers are just not pleased with their new phones anymore. And that they don't get cherry picked review samples coz LG doesn't do that shit. The whole 'stock android is always better' BS also had the most impact on LG software. Hell, their custom skin is one of the cleanest and most feature rich in the market. And no software update schmuck: they do the updates just as frequently as the rest of the market, as delayed as the rest of the market. But they have really really improved these days.

Dxomark is a complete sellout, we all know that. But what about the rest: I'd say most media outlets without a 'face' are sellouts, we all know verge. Even notebookcheck is becoming really bad these days (though credit they go bad both sides so it's mainly writer bias) I can only trust Anandtech and a bunch of youtubers at this point.

If you have used any LG V or G series phone with manual Cam since the V30, you ok know Dxo is a garbage ratiing. Guarantee my V30 or 40 can take better pics than a few of my Samsungs, because I have them and have seen their output.

I have Lg V60 since June 2020 and I assure you that it takes worse pictures than what DXOMARK says and I think I know why.
First of all, it has changed the sensor that is no longer a Sony as it has always had on the top of the range but has a Samsung ISOCELL GW1 (S5KGW1) [8] mounted on smartphones such as xiaomi redmi note 8 pro from € 200 ...
Moreover, to save money as well as zooming, I think Samsung sensors are some (mine that of DXOMARK) and others that I have read around have all the same problems that DXOMARK highlights and that I tried to solve with LG.
I was happy owner of g4 g3 v20 v30 v40 Lg optimus 9 ii and many others with photos always at the top dictate excellent colors and lights mah, this year no and I'm sorry to say customer service is even worse ...
Do not try with gcam it is useless if the sensor you have and among those we say "defective or cheap" you see.
And I understand who has one that works 100% and is surprised to read that it is not a good thing.
But I have never seen in many years some who say that it is okay, others say that it is bad in the photo quality.
I tried to return it and to sell it nobody wants this jewel even those who produce it ...

As far as i have seen, almost every reviewer said one common thing "most underrated flagship" & "phone of the year"!!!
N please.. to hell with this scores, a real person would know that Lg's manual mode has no competition!!! Only in the video mode, just sony is catching up...rest are just showy with the design (looks).. only a brainless fool would pay 1300usd for s20 ultra whereas the beast V60 offers dual screen.

Rareart1, 24 Jul 2020To me, the v30 and v35 are VERY UNCOMFORTABLE to hold, and ... moreBoth V30 and V35 has 18:9 screen aspect ratio and that, for me, is the best compromise for tall smartphones. What I don't really like is today's' smartphone with an unequal aspect ratio such as 18.5:9 or 19.5:9 or even 20:9. Heck, even Sony's 21:9 screen is way too tall when using horizontally.
