vrvly, 28 Jul 2020Well, they did mention world class. They surely do not want... moreI guess we have to put world class in perspective of the thinness of the device, no camera bump on 4.8mm compared to all others that have a camera bump on devices being 9mm. If it have half decent picture quality it really is world class.

H, 27 Jul 2020Its going to have a small 11mp image sensor. There is no hope. This was never supposed to be the device for those in need of a top class cameraphone. There is already plenty of alternatives on the market for those looking for that, no need for Microsoft to build another device in that space. This is something different aimed at us that does not need to have a top class camera.
I like the fact they went for the extreme thin profile, being just 4.8mm thin when opened, rather than going for a bulky device like to Fold to make room for a better camera.

vrvly, 24 Jul 2020A lot will depend on camera performance and design. Its going to have a small 11mp image sensor. There is no hope.

If price will be not dirt cheap, will be dead on arrival

Lord help me, but I think I prefer the V60 design more. For on thing, the V60 has the option of ditching the second screen if you want to travel light. I think the shape on the V60 is better; the Duo is more squat than I like, but that totally subjective. Lacking T-Mobile 5G 71 band isn't helping Microsoft's case either. If this were a full Windows 10 tablet, I'd be VERY interested, but it feels kludgy as an Android device.

No band 71 support for T-Mobile. That makes the Surface Duo three years out of date before it's launched.

If it has a small battery it will be useless. I desperately wanted to buy the Surface Go but couldn't for the same reason. I have no idea what they're thinking.

A lot will depend on camera performance and design.

Bit too late for this type of device. Too many draw backs...no 5g, limited Ram (6g), not pocket friendly....but still tempted..

Waiting time for product to go official.

Big question marks in Microsoft's support for the device if it doesn't sell well.
Considering it's going to cost premium and will be without 5G.

Finally launching it? Hope it's more than a phone with a second screen. LG has already done that.
