Simply classifying users based on OS they use, without taking into consideration a thousand other factors.
It's similar to saying liberals are "x" and conservatives are "y".
They cherrypick things to increase their adoption rates. All part of PR and marketing team that dummmb users fall for.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2020Great save more money with their weaker chips but still cha... morePerformance of Apple silicon will eventually surpass that of intel’s but for the moment I wouldn’t mind to have a Mac which is as fast as an iPad Pro. I can do my job! What is interesting is how iOS / iPadOS apps would be able to run on a Mac and in theory Mac apps To run on an iPad or iPhone. This would bring the thousands of apps on mobile devices to the Mac allowing a different perspective in productivity. I’m sure there will be the day that an iPhone or iPad would be able to switch to MacOS whenever are being connected to a monitor. Or iPads that would run MacOS when attached to a keyboard, being transformed into the Mac Book of the future. Using an iPhone as a phone or an iPad as a tablet when you don’t need more than that but becoming computers running a full scale OS when you need one. And think about how many app developers will be able to write apps for mobile OS and then develop Mac versions with pro features. That’s the future.

And i5 is a throttled chip wit... moreWho cares that i5 is running windows which is much superior to anything Apple can come up with. The handicapped nature of iOS and MacOS cannot be overcomed by faster processor.
Even if Apple tomorrow makes their chips faster than Intel or Ryzen, they'll still be useless as there is nothing inside that ecosystem to take advantage of all that raw power.

I don't care about iPhone 12. I've gotten so bored with smartphones as a whole that I focused my interest with Air Jordans or just sneakers in general. At least shoes can last forever with a restoration. They're like cars. Tech really is redundant and planned obsolescence every few years.
I am fascinated by Apple Glass though. Something different.
