MrTong, 29 Jul 2020So what about the OP8P review in XDA then? Are you going to... moreYou didn't even know about display Mate which is like the gold standard for display analysis of TV, pc monitors, etc. For the past 2 decades.
Shows that you have zero knowledge.

Don't bother replying to me, you are a proven joke. You just search for issues on any particular device that some users are facing and run with it on every article just like you saying how Realme phones are exploding based on 2 cases when in reality 1000 other iPhones have exploded.

All three phones S20 included had green tint issue initially. ROG Phone 2 (and 3) has rend tint issue even until now. Don't DisplayMate work like DxoMark? Easy for phones to get high score because they don't have a set parameter and some OEMs pay to score higher.

When Dxo calls the Mi 10 camera good (selfie and main), Android Authority, Notebookcheck, etc. contradicts what Dxo says. The image quality of the selfie camera is worse than it actually supposed to be. Dxo has been thought to be boosting scores by payment.

But let's say DisplayMate is an accurate source. Here's the iPhone 11 Pro Max link of DisplayMate's testing.

          http://www.displaymate.com/iPhone_11Pro_ShootOut_1P.htm

They complemented a lot about the iPhone display, while mentioning it "Highest Absolute Color Accuracy" etc.

Just being 60Hz but that could earn a A+ despite the S20 Ultra still top rank thanks to the HRR.

What they mean is for example the 120hz Lcd on Redmi k30 is inferior to the 60hz AMOLED on Redmi k30 pro.
Nowhere did they say OP8 pro or Find X2 pro display is bad.

What's the criteria of DisplayMate's scoring? High refresh rate? High brightness and contrast? Easy scoring and they are probably paid reviewers.

Find X2 pro is the best display on the market currently and it's manufactured by Samsung.
You don't get A+ rating from display Mate by being poor quality.

I'll trust display Mate and my own eyes having used flagships in the past from Note 9 to iPhone 11 pro Max over some random Internet guy.
People using 50$ phones like you are absolutely clueless on what a premium display is.

It's just telling you that there are very few good 120Hz panels with reasonable color calibration.

The display on the S20 is of high quality. The one on the Find X2 Pro and OnePlus 8 Pro is not. Read both articles very carefully without skipping a detail.

Your argument is about gaming. Of course there will be a difference in that regard. This video, however, implies an iphone cannot complete day to day tasks without stuttering. That is misleading. The smoothness of an iphone has been one of its main selling points vs. Android. You know, iOS optimization and all of that nonsense. Has that all been a lie?

Like I wrote, my Bold N1 doesn't consistently stutter like this and my daily 855 Samsung rarely stutters. My older phones like my Galaxy Alpha stutters, but that is 4-5 Android versions behind. This video is an exaggeration.

Check S20 and OnePlus 8 Pro's accuracy vs. S10 and OnePlus 7T Pro.

Speaking of monitors, a cheap HRR display (ex. 120, 144Hz 1080p) only covers 70-80% sRGB color space with narrow P3 gamut coverage. There are 60Hz 1080p and 1440p (also 4K) displays that have nearly or full P3 color space with high accuracy, like the Macbook Pro and Dell XPS.

In phones, HRR is pointless as for now until they decide to use LTPO and resolve color accuracy issue. Which is why Apple decided not to jump into the 120Hz bandwagon too quick for their iPhone 12.

Did you ever played a game at 320 x 240 resolution in the early 90's? Probably not. Because if you did, then you would have appreciated a 1080p 60fps resolution.
I mean yeah, you could say " The future is now old man", but this future is worth the extra money? No, most certainly not. If a 4k 144Hz monitor will cost the same as 1080p 60Hz one, then it will be ok. But to pay 3,4 times more for one, and then come in here and insult others about it..is kind of pathetic.
