Flat screen too... nice. I don't dig the curved screens so many phones have recently adopted. If the price is right, this could be quite interesting.

Lucky for me, I don't follow by society's rules so I had my reality checked just fine like yours. I don't find much difference between xiaomi and realme apart from infra port. So this phone will have all that Xiaomi phone has... Too close to each other.... They should give ir as well....

Question: Are most of the markets still 4G, and will remain so for years to come?
Answer: Nothing interesting will happen to 4G phones or 4G markets. Anything that is truly new and exciting will be oriented towards 5G and 5G markets. In all practical sense, 4G phones are dead. 4G markets are dead.
Question: Are we going to have more "pure" 4G phones in 2021?
Answer: The transition from 4G phones to 5G phones will be complete and total in all practical sense in 2020. 2021 phones will be 5G by default. In 2021, we will have two types of 5G smartphones:
- General purpose 5G phones which will be suitable for both 4G and 5G markets.
- 5G phones oriented towards 5G market that may require 5G, 5G-facilitated, or 5G-inspired infrastructure to deliver the interesting features.

There was an internal restructuring among Oppo, Realme and OnePlus in late June. We don't have the full picture of this restructuring, but what have been leaked so far are significant:
- The Hydrogen OS, the domestic equivalent of Oxygen OS, will be replaced by Color OS, because Hydrogen-OS' close-to-stock UI is really disliked in OnePlus' domestic market.
- Realme will start to reduce its engagement with 4G products and 4G markets, and will re-orient itself for 5G market so that it can compete with its peers in the coming war in 5G space for years to come.
In light of this restructuring, Realme V5 (based on Dimensity 720) is probably Realme's most significant 2020 smartphone to date, with its new design language and a new marketing orientation, signaling a breakaway from the old Realme.
Some interesting quotes from Realme insiders regarding this reorientation:
- "We want some serious presence in Chinese 5G market. Such a presence is more important than a larger market-share in any other market(s) in the world."
- "4G is dead. The future is 5G. The future is now, today, in 2020. The future is not tomorrow, not in 2-3 years, but today, right now."
