Nord 1 got mixed reception from consumers. If Nord 2 can fix it's primary shortcomings (by being cheaper, and using an aluminum frame), then it very well could be much more successful. SD690 would be more than powerful enough for the average user.

Spend $100-$150 more and get the Asus Zenfone 7 with SD865

After Zach's durability test from JerryRigEverything, they have the guts to launch this cheapy flaky plastic in the US !
Samsung already has the A51 5G in the US with a solid aluminium frame & Exynos 980, which is even better than SD 765, let alone the 690 (https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a51_5g-review-2128.php)

Ok so we are looking at a midrange phone option that has less performance then the upcoming Xiaomi Mi A4, no 3.5mm jack, plastic build. Tell me a reason why would someone prefer this over the above or phones like a Realme 6 ?

I would go for an 855+ over an 765G.
What's the point of having an 90hz if the chip isn't powerful enough?
What's the point of having an macro and depth camera?
What's the point of using an midrange 5G chip that is slow by the time 5G is ready?
Why no headphone jack? (midrange bro)
Why no MicroSD? (it is an UFS 2.1 storage, not UFS 3.0!!!!)
Many wrong decisions by Oneplus this year :
1. Make an expensive flagship
2. Destroying their own smooth and fast philosophy
3. Not having an top end specs at an affordable price
