It is actually a pretty reasonable price for a 5G powered phone and the reason behind it is the Mediatek Dimensity processor. The processor really gives us affordability without compromising performance.

With the Mediatek Dimensoty 720G 5G chipset, this will be a good addition to the mid-range 5G smartphone segment. Love the 5000mAh battery inclusion.

I'm curious on how many people will turned down by the huge ass branding in the back.

Realme is still learning how to compete against its peers in its domestic 5G market, which is a totally different animal compared to the south Asian and Southeast Asian markets Realme is used to. The pricing of Realme V5 is not competitive. It will be difficult for Realme V5 to compete against Redmi K30(D800), Redmi K30(SD765), Redmi 10X, and Honor X10.

On the other hand, Dimensity 720 is a surprisingly powerful SoC, considering how it is priced and positioned within the current hierarchy of Dimensity family of SoCs. This leaves room for the forthcoming Dimensity 600. MediaTek seems positioned well to compete against Qualcomm for the fight in the 5G market for the rest of 2020.

I wish it could be come with MediaTek Dimensity 720, cz price will be less aprx 30 to 35 USD comprsn to Sd 765G

More companies should start producing phones with Mediatek chips. Otherwise, the monopoly of snapdragon chips won't end. Previously Mediatek didn't have good enough processors but these dimensity line-up seems to be pretty capable and on a budget as well.
