Its design may be anyhow,let people say anything about it,let trolls and fanboys comment anything about it.Still i will buy it.EAST OR WEST SAMSUNG IS BEST AND IS AHEAD THAN REST.Forever fan of you.Hope you will soon release jellybean update for note 1.

Devices and gadgets which i will own made by samsung are:
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Ofcourse on release day possible or later)
Samsung Galaxy S3 (Gift me anyone or give it me for free Lolz.....)
Also i dont care about built quality its always better than htc and apple because when apple and htc devices are falled down they broke easily while samsung devices are more durable and rough and touch due to its simple built quality and good plastic.

I love My first Galaxy note so much ... it's the best smartphone up until now .. the size is perfect. I can't wait to see how Gal Note 2 will perform later :D

... morehello. I am not a Samsung fan and absolutely not Apple's. But I beg to disagree.
Samsung runs android. And as far as I know, android os is still not that perfect. That's why the phasing of updates is fast to make android os more stable.
Apple runs an iOS, an operating system they have been using for years. It was developed by them. And also, they have build that OS to run even with just 512 of RAM.
Then let's contrast this with computer.
Android is a Linux based os. I installed Ubuntu linux on my Intel Atom PC. It has an Intel Atom dual core with hyperthreading. My pc also has 1gb of ram and 256 mb graphics. I also installed Windows 7. And based on the actual experience even with that specs, Linux lags while Windows 7 with aero theme runs perfectly.
Bottomline: Don't judge all android phone manufacturers just because the phone lags. Blame the OS. Anyways, I still find android a better OS and I really hope that time comes when the OS becomes more stable with less resource requirements.

acit, 29 Jun 2012no way its gonna be a dual core device.. what a let down if... morethe a15 dual core processor is about twice as quit k at the current quad.cores thru other problem is quad core hasn't been compatible with 4G.
I would love the note 2 to have the dual core a15 and 4G LTE.

Build quiality can fall into how well put together the phone is, not just how "hardy" and resistant to a good kicking it is. Poor build quality is evident in the fact that the hyper glaze process is consistently poor. Most of our handsets have imperfections in. Resulting in bubbles, and marks around the handset. Poor build quality in a £500 handset. Other than that though, i recommend the s3 to all of my customers, along with the one x, simply because there isnt another phone on the market that will touch them at the minute.

what people are forgetting to realize is the fact that pretty much every phone uses plastic one way or another
Samsung may uses glossy finish on the outer shell but they have magnesium frame under the plastic and all of their newer phones have been solid without any chassis flex

Am a hardcore iPhone user and ... moreI think many, like yourself mistake "build quality" with "quality appearance"...
Samsung products (speaking from experience only) are excellently build, robust and their 'build quality' is better than that of an iphone (just drop each one on the floor and tell me which one smashes and which doesn't)
The problem with Sammy products are they don't 'appear' premium... they don't have that 'quality look'...
These are very separate things...
I put my GS2 in the washing machine a few months ago by accident - on a full spin cycle... when I took it out, I had to dry it on a radiator and it worked perfectly... had that been an iphone it would have been a very different matter...
So it's a trade-off - get a product with premium materials that you have to hide because it's in a case because you can't even think about dropping it... or a phone that's built to last, but doesn't look as fancy...
I know which one I'd rather go for...

... moreYou should direct that more to the apps and games' devs. Best Samsung could do is get sources out faster but devs get SDK a lot earlier so...
Hoping that this Note 2's Exynos 5250 rumor is true. Now that's real progress A15 over A9 gen. And hoping for a newer Mali GPU (not necessarily.. Imagination's PowerVR have some powerful solutioms in the near future too) as well.
This can win far away from S III and the prev 7mill sales if done right.
