This... moreNot true, the dimensity 720 isn't a powerful chip set so I don't think it will be expensive, think of it as the mediatek equivalent to the new sp690 (the latter even has newer A77 cores). So I don't think the base model will go for more than 300€.

      But 720 has only 2 Big CPU cores when when 800 has 4.
      And GPU has only 3 cores when 800 has 4
      Screen support allows 90hz on 720, 120hz on 800
      Image proccessing is more limited, for exemple depht of field with dual camera is limited to 20+16MP on 720, to 32+16 on 800 or multi-exposure video recording was removed too.

      Maybe some AI cores were removed but that's not explicit on data sheets

        Is it just me or the back resembles Galaxy A31 or Galaxy A51 in terms of camera placement?
        Samsung will s*e Realme for IP t**ft.

          Mediatek confirms some Dimensity based devices will come outside China this quarter...

          I think it can be one of them...

          I can imagine this one in Europe around 250€ in Europe because of taxes...and we can often find Realme 6 under 200€
          Same power compare to Realme 6/6 Pro with additionnal 5G support and awesome battery life due to the bigger battery and the 7nm process...but little cuts on cameras

The Redmi k30i 5g is exactly the same price in China with a better snapdragon 765g processor and similar camera setup. The honor play 4 is slightly more expensive at 1699 but has the better dimensity 800 processor and a 64mp main camera. It's a well priced option but there is also plenty of competition in China around this price point

                I see two problems - mediatek and oppo. No aftermarket software development is not going to bring a lot of people to the device. Guess why apple has a lot of people buying their phones? That's right, they play around with software optimization more.

Brands like Realme, Redmi, Iqoo and Honor have phones that target the lower end 5g market so especially in China they have to offer price to performance ratio to compete with each other. This one is the same price as the Redmi k30i 5g

                                    I'd have preferred a dual selfie punch hole.

                                      That is a crazy spec for the price. But also a crazy spec in its own right. They are literally giving this phone away. They are probably not making any money on this phone.

                                        ...And it's going to stay in China because why not give Europe 6i instead with HD 60Hz screen and G80 for around the same price, lol.
