I wonder why the video still shows Pixel 4a starting price from $349 when there is only one and only one option. Even in their website they have completely removed the word from for the 4a.

This could be a massive seller in the US. Affordable at a time it needs to be even in that carrier-driven market, better promotion than the A51, and it might even be actually good.
Wonder if we'll see retailers in that market - and possibly others - actively push this for being a Not China phone.

Google made a really smart move with this phone. Keeping it simple and selecting the right specification for the budget they were willing to give it (I reckon this phone costs ~$250 in material cost, fair for a $350 phone). For anyone who doesn't require the latest and greatest, and wants a functional phone that will last a good time, this is great. The perfect alternative to iPhone SE. Hope they had retained the sdcard slot too.
This will sell a lot in the less technology inclined circles. A better display, battery and camera would be a great contrast to SE. But the phone most affected will be the Samsung A51, the prime android choice for that market.
On the other hand, this phone is what the Oneplus Nord should have been like. They had more experience building phones, more leeway in profit margins, better access to components yet they shoved 3 more useless cameras and removed headphone jack. If you were going to do so, you shouldn't have advertised yourself as selecting the right components for the target audience and making a new flagship killer. Oneplus Nord is obviously a better phone on paper, but does it reflect smart decisions like they advertised?
If google keeps this up, there is a good chance that Pixel 5 will be phenomenal undercutting her competition in price point and making the right design choices. And the 4a 5G which from the price difference shouldn't just be an upgrade in connectivity.

Looking at the specs in the Play store, the 4a only has two microphones, instead of the usual three on the regular Pixels. So it will have inferior noise cancellation during calls and for recording video.

Sometimes a phone just calls out to you regardless of its looks and specs. For me, the nexus 5 was such a phone, then the galaxy s7 and finally this though I still do not trust google's qc. I will be waiting for full reviews on its battery and quality of the oled screen before making a decision.

i was bit confused by their pricing. but after watching some youtube reviews I've decided that "4a will be my next phone".

Finally something better than the Apple SE 2 and something i will pick over One plus Nord
