I have the S5e and it also gets quarterly updates. And I received Android 10 just three weeks ago, which is definitely pathetic.

Typical garbage, this is a mere tablet not a laptop, it is absolite waste of 1000 euros even s7 starting 700 euros still a waste. Better get proper laptop period.

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2020At that price, I would rather get a laptop.Exactly until you realize you can have xbox game pass installed on your tablet but that doesn't matter what matters is performance and software. If you think about it this doesn't run windows 10 unless Samsung partners with Microsoft for '' True desktop replacement'' which is just not there yet. I said yet ok as in eventually they will. But as for right now this overprice IF they bring windows 10 to tablets ( samsung only maybe apple) then I might consider this as a no brainer.

Never again buying an Android tablet especially from Samsung, and I prefer Android to iOS.
I purchased the Tab S6 more than six months ago. Really disappointed in the slow delivery of security patches as though Android tablets are second fiddle to their phones. Mine is still on May 2020 security patch and it'll be lucky if it gets Android 12.
Android tablets will never be able to match iPads when it comes to hardware and support. Android tablets keep using either off-the-shelf hardware and act as though they're just big phones. Meanwhile, iPads especially the Pro models get the best SoC and hardware, not to mention better Software and App support.

This might be the best samsung tablet ever? Combine beautiful look inspired by ipad pro and a kickstand borrowed from Surface tablets, with a true flagship cpu, except 6GB ram is not enough for android OS+samsung's skin over it. And price, too expensive for a non apple/microsoft tablet.

You simply cannot charge such heavy prices for delayed software updates , OS updates for two years and security updates for three years.
Sometimes, I think this is a hidden strategy by Samsung. Overprice items at launch, so that two months down the time when they are cheaper, more people will buy it thinking that it is on a massive discount.
I bet this s7+ with Amoled and SD865+ would be 700 USD at Black Friday (or some other offer day).

tab s6, tab s7 and s7 plus, significantly better for netflix users, on ipad, 4:3 ratio means that there is significantly more black borders than visuals, which means watching films, even youtube is heavily compromise, i am presuming there is more visible screen on a tab s6 at 16:10 ratio 10" than a 12.9" 4:3 ration ipad pro, but 4:3 has slight advantages for surfing the net or reading text.
The deal breaker for tab s7 wifi is lcd screen and premium prices at around
euros700/gbp600/HK$6000 even though the snapdragon 865 is super fast, esp as i can get a 128gb /6gb tab s6 for now HK$4700/US$600/GBP460
