It's june 2012 now & things have moved on a bit.
You'll find that nearly all sites that use flash have a non flash alternative & when browsing from an iOS device you're directed to that site instead & hey presto you have full video streaming capabilities. It won't be long before the sites offering both versions will drop their flash version...

AnonD-61130, 29 Jun 2012This is a big slap in the face for all you android users, H... moreNot really, as my Galaxy Note not only plays flash content, but also supports html5 through Opera browser. Just back up yiur flash player app with something like androzip and you will always have flashplayer should you need to factory reset your device.
Just because we are loosing flash from google play, does not mean it is dead. Alot of sites will still use flash videos for a long time to come.

From your description, its obvious that even when you did have a symbian phone, you had no idea how to use it. Its like someone only used Android 1.6 donut and says stuff about ICS as if its the same thing -_-

Actually, i think its a good thing they ended up this flash. its old, resource hungry, laggy and it has never been bug free. my xperia s has been really pissing me off when i try Flash. And those who are stupid enough to say that why then every website uses it, the answer is simple. they did not have any choice. but now they do. 1 year later, HTML5 will be every where. logically speaking a good step

Android fanboys have always crowed about how superior it is to iOS, with its ability to use Flash in its browser as its main selling point. I've always pointed out that Flash wasn't necessary, and I've been proven right.
Also, most websites have a mobile version now, which puts the Android browsing experience vs iOS debate to bed.
The iphones native web browser is still far better than Androids.

I understand that Adobe will cut off support, but if we manage to download all the .apk's from the Play store, we may still be able to provide them to other users/install them ourselves after the 15th August. So, we need to get all .apk's from the Play store!
I wanted to purchase an LG Optimus 2x for video playback on the web; my current phone, Nokia E63 is using Flash Lite 3; so it doesn't load YouTube, due to an old flash version.
Hope I can get the phone before this date, or all the apks are downloaded. :)

AnonD-51507, 29 Jun 2012are you reading what you're writing 'dude'? you're probably... moreu have the point about the web browsing..but do u prefer ur smartphones over pc or laptop for web browsing???????? u know that computers give much better experience.why will other os die without flash? user on the other os are satisfied with their default web browser..unlike android user who wants pc like web pages or watch too much of hd videos, why do u need pc like web pages on ur phones???? istn the mobile version okay to use? and by the way nokia is smarter than android...i m not saying that android sucks or something like that, its just that nokia belle is better than it.and more than 90% apps on android are useless..nokia has all important apps that u will use..so what is the point of more apps...as far as hd gaming nokia has bunch of hd games. web browsing is just fine. batter life is much better than android phones......and if u think iphone is for those who could AFFORD IT.. then u will have to spend about 900$ for 16gb varient. i m sure now u will understand why i wrote that NOKIA WILL RULE THE WORLD..
