Ktc, 05 Aug 2020When will it be available in India?????? Please reply....Samsung M51, which is very similar to this phone, with Snadragon 730, Amoled display, 8gb RAM, 7000 mAh battery will be launched in India for ₹ 23,000 . That is almost half the price of this A51 5G.

The frame between the AMOLED panel and plastic back is Aluminium, which maintains the structural integrity when the phone is put under stress. Whereas the Nord is completely plastic. This is a good phone and competitively priced (non 5G version atleast). I would consider buying it if not for the inferior chipset (on 4G) and huge tablet size screen? Oh wait, all phones are now th-

Also, the Nord comes with display tint issues-green tint, purple tint..see their forums. The Exynos 980 has atleast the same if not better performance than 765G. (See GSMArena review of A51 5G)
Since, the Nord goes for € 399 in Europe, that is $ 471, so I don't know where you're getting that $350 figure. And Nord has cut a lot of corners to reach even that price.

These phone manufacturers are getting greedy. 5G should not be used as an excuse to charge extraordinary prices for phones.

Metro will start selling it August 10th. It will be $499 retail price, but if you are existing customer you get $100 off. And more discounts if you are switching over or opening a new line of service.

has anyone here actually used the A51 or know anyone who has? I don't, but I'm not going to comment on a device I have no idea about just to sh*t on Samsung. 🙄

With Google already announcing the Pixel 4a (5G edition) at $499, which I assume uses the Snapdragon 765G, and will have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, I see zero reason to get this poorly built Samsung. The A51 or whatever that has a 4,000 mAh battery doesn't last as long as the Pixel 4a with a sub 3,200 mAh battery, so those Exynos chips and bloated Samsung apps must drain the hell out of a bigger capacity battery. All we need is a date and more info on screen size and battery, but I can guarantee that the Pixel 4a's dual camera (if leaks are to be believed) will outperform Samsung's 4 with their crappy macro and poor depth sensor.

Now who in their right mind will buy the Nord with Snapdragon 690 in the US ?
Exynos 980 (with 2 A77 cores) has the same performance or faster, super AMOLED display, quad cameras & 'Aluminium' body which will not snap in 2 pieces when you're pulling it out of your skinny jeans pocket, unlike the Nord with flimsy plastic body.
