You didn't say a thing about photos or videos. And on top of it, it doesn't matter if it can take good photos. Anything can. The only areas of concern for smartphone cameras in terms of photos in 2020 is zoom, low light performance, and maybe detail sometimes. All of which the Pixel 4a does not excel in. Doesn't have a zoom lens. Doesn't beat the competition in low light performance. And certainly not in detail with that low res sensor and poor image processing SoC. It just takes good photos. Not out of this world. And mediocre video.

I bought cheap Moto G8 for elder relative. I was hoping that smartphone will not get much updates, so owner would not get notifications about it. And on first config day i had every monthly update from October 2019 till July 2020. Only 2-3 months had no update.

Motorola is crap when it comes to updates. I bought a One Action (android one) in September 2019. the security patch is from September 2019. Zero updates.

Especially when many people are saying simmilar things.
I also mentioned that these all might turn out to be false in the end, but right now, these sources are pretty trustworthy.

Yes, all the leaks are currently pointing to $650 iPhone 12 with 5G and OLED display. Maybe apple will pull a fast one on us, but pretty much all the sources confirm that the price is that. Also Jon Prosser has a pretty good track record.

And yeah lets just ignore the Nord's handful of extra cameras.
