YUKI93, 06 Aug 2020Not exactly gimmick foldable screen is the next big thing.Pfff heavy, small battery capacity, unwieldy and cumbersome things. Phones have long since gone past the point of too big.
We had bezels for a reason. And we also had small screens for a reason. One handed use.

Mickalob Lite, 06 Aug 2020This isn't entirely true. There is a limit to phone si... moreAs a mobile device it's more comfortable to use than your common 3" width cell phone. It's a candy bar shaped phone which is the basically the size of a "cordless" land line phone. Pick up your TV remote and put it next do your ears. Is that uncomfortable? Not at all. You can hold it more securely.
If you wear tight pants or tight jeans then yes, it will probably look a little strange like any big flagship phone. My Xiaomi Mi Mix always looked strange in my pants. Although it was flat, the width caused it to cover more area. The current Fold phone sticks out a bit more because of the thickness, but it covers less area and newer model is a bit slimmer than this one.

YUKI93, 05 Aug 2020I'm not gonna lie, the Z Fold2 looks much better than ... moreI think that's a bit too many Spen devices then. They have the new Note 20 series and Tab S7 series with Spen. That's more than enough. If everything have Spen then they should put everything under Galaxy S-pen moniker. Hahahahah

could become feasible and useful if the price becomes much less than buying a separate tablet + phone...i rather have one device that can serve both purposes...

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2020It might damage the weak screen inside it's not glass ... moreGlass is glass and glass breaks when hitting the ground.
This is as durable as your regular smartphone with glass sandwich design.

iseedeadpeople, 05 Aug 2020Some people said touchscreen smartphones was a gimmick. ... moreThis isn't entirely true. There is a limit to phone size. This product is heavy, and awkward to use as a mobile phone. This is primarily a media consumption device which is perfect for the techies out there. But for professionals, or business people it is far to cumbersome. People want big screens but small form factor. This device would struggle to fit into my pants pocket, and would look ridiculous in there. For me, that's a deal breaker. Pulling this guy out at a bar, then putting it into a coat pocket rather than a Jean pocket is recipe to get it nikked

YUKI93, 06 Aug 2020Not exactly gimmick foldable screen is the next big thing. Not at this size. At the moment, folded it's to thick for the average consumer. Jeans are getting tighter and tighter. Until they can thin the design drastically, or come up with a rollout screen or something this will be a niche product for techies.

JDK, 05 Aug 2020I totally agree! Also, I feel like there was no room for an... moreBut the S Pen on Tab S7 and Tab S7+ (and also Tab S6 and Tab S6+) stays outside, so I can see no problem Samsung adapting that approach for the Z Fold. Heck, they can easily do what Apple and Microsoft did with the iPad Pro and Surface Pro respectively. That little magnetic slot to place the stylus is a cleverly neat feature.

Pity about the no S-pen. I currently use a note 8. S-pen on the external screen would give close to the note level s-pen, and would be better than none at all. S-pen even on the external screen only would make the fold the premier device....without it, which is better, note or fold is split.
