Patenting the "slide unlock"? Mate,what has the world come to? Do you know that the earlier versions of apple i-phones did not have copy and paste? So,can someone sue them for infringing on the "copy 'n paste" patent? How I wish consumers would band up against apple for going out of their way to choke competition. Competition brings out the best in us all!!!!

I've been patronizing Apple products since the time of iPod classic, but I don't think its fair to sue Android for using those kind of stuff for their touchscreen phones. I know that the purpose of the iPhone is to dominate the touchscreen phones and kill Android. And if they want to do that, they should do it the way it should be; beat Android by making better phones not by stopping your competitors from getting better. Apple has also copied lots of ideas from Symbian and Android but no one sued them for it, so why would they?

Dee, 30 Jun 2012I wish Samsung stop making parts for Apple! Oh really???? Based on the number of iPhones and iPads that Apple sells Samsung would suffer huge financial losses if Apple ever decided to go with someone else for many of their components. It wouldn't hurt Apple, just Samsung.

They are a tons of apps that can search multiple sources from a single interface and Google's one untill JellyBean it's not even that good. They gone sue the other ones too? Some of them are even older than the deal between Siri developers and Apple or even Siri itself.

What apple does not realize is that if Nokia wanted too, they could have banned apple products. Nokia has been doing front facing cameras since mid 90's, for example.

This is just simple corporate enterprising,when a company grows to a point where yours feels threatened you unleash other weapons the (idiotic) law gives you. You didn't see other companies battle like this before iPhone...now Apple sues everything...maybe even the use of glass in buildings.
