This article is disconnected from reality. No one in the right mind buys a 1k+ smartphone besides companies and rich people. WiFi6E doesn't even exist in the real world. The "gaming" smartphones are mostly fortnight and pubg, but the best games are text-based or puzzle games where the 120 hz screen doesn't mean anything. 120 Hz looks good but doesn't really mean anything other than "feels great".
You know what would be better than a 120 hz screen? A headphone jack.
The 6.9" screen is a welcome upgrade, I love big screens, and I can't wait to enter the 7"+ era.

"Many were unhappy about the Snapdragon/Exynos divide when the S20s came out (and those had the non-plus 865) and now the gap between the chips is even larger, so many more will (rightfully) complain. Especially since the phones cost more in Europe than they do in the US."

It is what it is anyway, s8/s9, note 8/note 9, Samsung makes sure to cripple all these old devices in order to buy THIS.

The Note 20 may not be that bad a deal, given the launch offers Samsung is running.
The 256 GB model is priced at INR77990. At that price range, if you want a Samsung only, the choice is between the S20+ and the Note 20. The Note 10's lower battery capacity knocks itself out of the competition, and the Note 10+ is much more expensive.
Samsung is offering cashbacks, and store coupons worth INR13,000, and an exchange bonus of INR5000, which brings price down to INR59,999 ($799)- which i think is a great price for the Note 20. The above average exchange value that Samsung store offers further sweetens the deal.
The S20+ has lesser benefits going for it which makes it about $100 more expensive, and the trade-off here is a stylus+ double base storage+ more updates vs the glass back, curved screen and higher refresh rate.
I do not care about any of those three.

Only status symbol is the iPhone. If you want maximum performance, look for the Mi 10 Pro. If you want camera performance, P40 Pro does it better.
Unless it's a SD variant, it doesn't shine in any single aspect. S20 review in GsmArena says that iPhone 11 Pro has better camera performance, excuse me?
Exynos is really the culprit. Multiple websites even high-rep or Samsung biased ones like Android Authority and Sam Mobile have already shun the chip.

I'm still completely happy with my Note 9, I wouldn't buy either of the Note 20s as an "upgrade". The Note 9 even looks much better than both of these.

Absolutely scandalous of Samsung to sell that vanilla Note 20 for over $900. Also, bear in mind that Europeans are getting an even inferior product with the Exynos chipset. Consumers should boycott Samsung if they want change instead of mindlessly buying the next status symbol, but it won't happen.

Snapdragon, 3.5 jack, no asymmetrical camera bump, no bloatware and a US$600 price tag would make this phone attractive.

It is amusing at this point and ironic as well...
Samsung mocked qualcomm and didn't used SD810 back in 2015
Samsung mocked Apple for headphone jack removal, cpu slowdown,lack of features, face id
no micro sd,low resolution, etc.
And guess what they did...
No more headphone jack (with NO adapter out-of-box on some phones)
No more iris scanner, but we have sh*tty face id
No more heart rate/SpO2 sensor
No more micro sd on standard variant
No more 1440p on standard variant
No more glass back on standard variant
No more ultra fast charging, even though that charger is sold separately!
The sh*ttiest battery EVER, not even a little bit of optimisation, and in combination with the sh*ttiest SoC samsung EVER produced who's a flamethrower in terms of heat, SD810 was NOTHING in comparison.
Can't believe a 1000 euro phone is like this.
It's been 3 years since note 8/s8 era, and still, I don't see a worthy upgrade! I don't see an upgrade from s7/s7 edge era either.
What a s*cker I was thinking with the beginning of s8/note 8 era samsung will make a comeback...
I will keep my s8 on android 8 till it completely dies!
Look on the bright side friends! At least we have android 10 now, with ONE UI 2.5! : )
