Anonymous, 02 Jul 2012Predictive keyboard? One more patent war with Apple will start...Apple won;t sue Nokia over any patents.

Nokia has much much more patents to destroy Apple if they wanted to.

Like terminating Apple's licensing of GSM patents. It's like telling Apple to make their GSM standard for all their Iphones which I doubt Apple can make on their own.

Yeah, gotta love the top comments!
I've read the news article and first thing that comes to mind is that Nokia's Symbian at its final stages looks more and more like Android. I see nothing wrong with that!
Nokia fans few months/years ago argued that Apple and Google both copied some Symbian elements/functions and now it's the other way around.
I see nothing wrong with this approach.
Why reinvent something, if it already works good?

just so to say, i had used ios, highend droid of its time, blackberry and symbian.

most memorable experience when using these os, was totally wowed by smoothness of ios, blackberry is dam reliable and can still perform PERFECTLY fine with 9mb out of 256mb of ram left?!?!?, theres nothing in droid that i miss seriously, last but not least, symbian...

bought an n8, realised i bought a brick that just wont break apart, it gave me nothing, YES! nothing that i want, but everything that i ever needed and more of what i asked for, that no os could gave.

till date, only phone felt totally worth it buying was my n8.

nokia x7 with 680mhz processor running symbian belle can play hd games (assassin's creed and dungeon hunter) without much lag but you cannot play hd games decently with android phones with 800mhz processor. just weird.

Symbian users changed their systems because of the crappy 400mhz Cpu + 128mb RAM + no GPU.

ok, i love nokia, for me it is still the best phone. the only problem is it's a bit slow, and sometimes lag. it needs dual core, and for symbian, it is awesome, the only thing is, it needs apps. :)

This really is Symbian's last hurrah (coupled with the N808...) Symbian fans will no doubt at least get a couple of years' worth of "Belle 2 is STILL faster than anything you use..." whilst unfortunately stuck in the past...

Or maybe when the Pureview Lumia comes out next year, we'll see a new strain of Nokia fan?

Nokia please dump Elop and resurrect Symbian. Hire the best developers. You can make it better than iPhone, android and even WP itself.

Other companies who carry both WP and Android know so well which OS brings in the money. And no one can figure out that Elop is driving Nokia to it's knees for Microsoft to "save" it.

Soon "Nokia" will just be the hardware division of Microsoft. Elop is making sure the takeover by his former company is easy.
