You people who say Symbian is dead, you are really sick! I've been using Symbian since 2005. It has been giving me everything what ever I expected..If I think of anything new and search for that particular application on net, I definitely would get it and am enjoying a lot! I think the sick people don't know how to download applications and get them installed on their mobile. You better keep playing with your toys!
I've 5 Symbian Nokia mobile with me now! I posted this review from my 8years old 6600 mobile! Can your 8years old Samsung do this! Oops sorry! Is it still in working condition? Noooo naa!
ha ha ha
That is the power of NOKIA !

What kind of hardware limitations doesn't let some minor UI changes? There's absolutely nothing that would require more powerful hardware on this update.
If the update doesn't come to old S^3 devices is simply because Nokia doesn't have interest on them anymore.

nice update. Accenture seems to be doing a good job of Symbian.

Hope there is something for the 680Mhz devices as well, with possibly an upgrade in the processor speed to 800Mhz as well.

Nokia should keep Symbian and make the UI better and better.

i still love symbian, but i want screens with hd resolution, bigger than 4 inch. nokia 808 is perfect, but the display resolution is the main reason for not buying it

I hope they improve the stability of the browser as well. While testing the Pureview 808 in a Nokia Store, the browser crashed a few times. I was really close to buying it but was concerned about the stability of Belle. I am currently using the iPhone. Moving to Symbian would mean I lose a few favorite apps but if the browser is competent, it would at least minimize the handicap. This update may just tip the scale for me...

i bet symbian can definitely rock back if nokia goes after developers just like it has done for wp.

...Every os is a copy of symbian os..symbian was the first to introduce grahpical user interface.(s60 , maemo, meego).apple copied it first(added lots of apps to attract people), and then apple was copied by android... symbian belle is not laggy. It can run about 65 apps at the same time without lagging. It is very smooth. Symbian and nokia rocks...Stephen elop should be kicked out of nokia, nokia's true potential is much more than this but eplop is wasting nokia's potential....what do u think friends, should he be kicked out of nokia.? And is he hired by ios or android or windows to spoil nokia? What do u think? Share with us..

1.N8 won't get this due to hardware limitation.
                        2.Hate the theme effects.
3.Android is ripping off Symbian due to the fact that Symbian existed way before Google had it's big break.
4.Nokia could give the user an option tap2unlock or slide2unlock
5.If Apple sues Nokia for anything then they will have reached a bigger rock bottom than RIM and all fanboys will never get any respect at all.

Apple has the patent on 'Slide to Unlock' whereas nokia already uses 'Swipe to unlock' on the N9 and windows phones

2x, 01 Jul 2012Symbian with every update looks more and more like an Andro... moreso you mean they should stop using icon in menu instead they should keep it hidden....???? BTW idea of placing widgets and app shorcuts on homescreen is used by Nokia since 2006 may be you don't know that because during those time you were in nursery. even old s40 phones like Nokia 6233 use to have that
