Kuo: iPhone 12 production runs into camera supply issues, launch may be unaffected

07 August 2020
The trouble is with the lens for the ultra wide camera. Apple has two suppliers for that and the second one should be able to pick up the slack.

They need to manufacture it in a type of glass and apply coatings to reduce reflections, aberration, and various other things to let the amount light more and allow the sensors to resolve the colours at higher resolutions

JerryRig exposed them as he exposed the bendable iPad.

              Where's the damn sapphire lens?

At least they've stop marketed sapphire lens as it's an outright lie, just like Samsung calling plastic "glasstic".

Clear case for staggered releases due to heavy low demand forecast for $1000 >>> models since iPhone 11 & SE taken bulk of the potential customers away into buying a new mobile.
